End of the road in the USA for the A Class

MBUSA has announced that the A Class will no longer be offered in the US after MY2022. If you want one, try to get one now.

Wow, didn't even make it to the facelift in the US!
Any indication the CLA is next?

Ummmmm hopefully not, that Q60 especially the rear actually looks good in MB's lineup.

I had heard a while ago that the A Class wouldn't survive here. CLA staying in the lineup for now.

Interesting since the last I checked, the A class was selling at the same rate as the CLA. The GLA was outselling both the A class and the CLA combined.

Ya being the market it is in the USA, people really want SUVs so I am not surprised by that. GLA is not big by any means but still very much an SUV now (this gen at least, last gen felt more like a lifted up hatch).

I just checked and nothing has been posted about this at the MBUSA media website so I'm curious where this is coming from?

This place is a joke.
It won't be missed, although I did get a chance to drive an A35 and it was quite fun, but I wouldn't want to get hit in one.

They don't usually announce discontinuations publicly.

The A class has excellent safety ratings. There are lots of bigger, non luxury cars you wouldn't want to get hit with.

I am sure none of us want to get hit in any car, big or small though. Doesn't matter how safe a vehicle is. Please practice defensive driving.

Actually, the A-class is 4 inches longer than my 190E. When my 190E was in production, it was considered to be one of the safest cars on the road.
