Sale~ KW Variant 2 INOX Coilovers New for W203/W209
As you guys know, for the w209 basically the only coilovers that work for the car are the KW coilovers, Bilstein P-SS9 coilovers, and the carlsson rs sport coilovers. I bought the KW coilovers because they pretty much are the same as the Bilsteins and the Carlssons. I can adjust the height as well as the shocks/rebounding as to how stiff I want the ride to be. These coilovers are also cheaper than Bilsteins and the Carlssons because they are not imported from outside the United States.
Let me assure you guys that I did not ever put my car down and drive with the coilovers on. These coilovers are basically brand new, I just had the shop install it once, and had them taken off. These really arent used coilovers, they are brand new still..it was just taken out, put on once, and taken off. Pictures will be put up shortly.
As far as I know, these will fit w209 chassis cars because they are pretty much the same as far as rotors/brakes etc. Anyway, I am really just trying to get back what I paid for. I bought these from Neal on this board. I will have pictures of my kit shortly. I bought these for close to 1500 including shipping. I am looking to sell these coilovers for 1400 shipped, maybe a little bit more depending on where you are. Offers are also opened, just PM me. Please dont lowball me becasuse they are basically brand new.

For dronellis, I PMed you. With regards to using spacers or not, Im not totally sure. If you end up installing it, and do need spacer, Im sure it wont be big, like 5 mm like your friend. It all depends on how that wheel was built from HRE. I dont want to say "no you dont" or "yes you do" for spacers because I am not totally sure.

Please PM me, thanks. This is really a killer deal. Remember, this is basically a new set of coilovers, put on once, and taken off. It has 0 miles on them. Just like brand new from the box.

As I was given the impression that they weren't right for the V8 model CLK's because of the additional weight of the V8. I don't doubt that they would fit, but I imagine that they might not be sprung and damped properly for the CLK500/55...
I was told that KW will be making a set specifically for the CLK55, so I'll wait till they're available, and besides this set's sold...

They are right. I have W203 C class coilovers on my C55. I have spoke to people at KW and they said the C55 will be fine with the W203 coilovers which is mostly 4 and 6 cyls.
If KW was so worried about the proper weight on them, they would make different veriosn for CLK convertible models. Which they dont. A convertible adds a few hundred pounds. Comparing the V8 to the V6 is not to far off in weight like the convertible. KW may say they will come out with a CLK55 version, all they will really do is change the label on the other CLK ones to CLK55.
Again, mine were not designed for a V8, and the car handels amazing. Even cars such a Brabus CV8 C class with a V8, the suspension used on that car is not any different from the other c-class suspension from Brabus for the 4cy and 6cyl cars.
Also, many people use C class coilovers for the W209 CLKs with V8s.

Yes, the car really handles awesome now. I have mine set kind of low and also the rebound is set as stiff as it goes which probably can have something to do with it.
I would say the car right now is MUCH more stiff then stock, and also i cannot really feel any body roll with the coilovers installed. My car feels way more fun to drive now then a E46 M3! Nobody beleives it unless they drive it. Also having wider stickier tires doesnt hurt either.
I would go with the KW Variant 2's or Bilstein PSS9's. In terms of performance, they are VERY close. If you want to save some money, go with the KW's.
Sorry for the late response. I just replied back now.
The suspension would not void your warrenty on anything but your suspension. Also, its not voided unless the dealer can prove it caused a problem with your suspension. Most dealers could care less about a suspension change.
