I have a 91 190E that needs new shoes. I would like to upgrade to 16'. I would like OEM wheels, like CLK or C class wheels with tires. Takeoffs would be nice.

Also would be interested in AMG, Lorinser, or Carlsson wheels.

I would entertain purchasing old school hammer type wheels, from Ronal?

Located in AZ.

Thanks

I'll give you these 17 inch amg rims with tires for $800 - some minor curb rash on the rear rims and a slight dent on the inside part of one of the front rims. They are staggered (17 x 7.5 in the front and 17 x8.5 in the rear) and are taken off my 2000 CLK 430. PM me if you would like to dicuss this further.

Come with Continental Contisport tires which have plenty of tread left on them.

That seems like a fair deal - but the 190E's do not like the 17' staggered set up, unless the tires are a thin 205/45/17 set up. The staggered set up on the rear is a pretty tough fit as well. I would prefer to stick with 16's, but thanks for the offer.

I've got a set of OEM 16" wheels from my SLK that I'm going to try selling as soon as I get some pics of them. The tires were removed since they had some "issues", but the wheels are available. They were staggered also, but should fit... they had 205s on the front and 225s on the rear.
If you're interested, I'll get pics and we can negotiate.
One of the wheels is brand new (replaced under warranty) and the other three are in excellent condition. No rash and some very minor scratches from normal wear.

OK. Here is one set of pics. The first two show a clean wheen and one with the first two scratches. The next three show the only visible marks that don't look like they're going to come off with a little elbow grease. I think that they'll look better , but not perfect with some good cleaning. I've been told that wheel shops can cover minor scratches like this with some matching paint. They both feel like they are just in the clearcoat. The last one is on a different wheel and is even more shallow than the first two. It started getting lighter when I rubbed it with my fingernail and will probably get better.
I've got more pics that I'll put on another post.
I'm doing some research to determine a price... Local dealer said they were over $300 a piece new. My first instinct is $400 for the set, but I'm open to suggestions.

more pics
Here are pics of most of the numbers and codes. Note that the 8" wheel shown is almost new. Only about 50 miles on that one.

Hi, AZ
and welcome to the forum! (I was born and raised in Phoenix...)

I don't have any for sale, this is a kind of FYI.

I have a 2001 E320 and sold my stock wheels (16" multispoke) to a guy with a 92 E. While I didn't particularly care for the look on my car, they really looked GREAT on his. You can find them on ebay all the time and there are lots of Cs and the 16" S wheels, too. They often pop up on Craigslist, too.

Be prepared that you'll probably have to source new lug bolts as well. I went through a real pain when I changed mine out.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

lug bolts
I think I have the original lug bolts too; can't guarantee they'll fit anything else, but I think it's a good bet they will. I'll have to check to see if the guys at the garage kept them.
Good point about that, Greg.
