Not very happy with the Mercedes 560SEC....
Hi guys,
I am not very happy with the 560SEC Model.
It's not that comfortable, doesn't have the steering wheel where I like it.., doesn't have a glove box.,
doesn't have a large enough center console..
It just doesn't stand up to my GMC Yukon in any way, and I thought that it would.
The Yukon is a much more comfortable ride and has much more options than mercedes offers.
Anyway,, I just bought this.., with shipping I have $6,000.00 into it.
So, the first $6,000.00 gets it.
It's a nice car..
It is a 1990 560SEC.
I have all the original service records from the original owner.
It has 187,000 miles on it.
I had the heads done about 50k miles ago.

by the way.. when I sell a car.., I usually sell it for much less than it is worth..
The reason I do this is because I don't want any hassles or diddling around..

Kevin...I can't believe you did not see all these problems before you bought the car. Did you buy it on-line and recieve as is without driving it or actually inspecting the car in person? You probably heard it already, but you are going to take a hit on this car...unless you got another Kevin out there who will do the same thing as you.
You might end up having to take it to CarMax or another outfit like that and take your lumps...Good luck!

Kevin you may want to reword your initial post, just to clarify that the previous owner did work at 50k.
Also, I believe Kevin was implying that that the car has no mechanical problems. Just that the car doesn't fit him properly. I doubt Shaq would fit in a SLK. So, that may be a problem for him, but not for others.
