I would be easier for people to offer help if you stated where you are from.

If you are in the New England area (USA) then I can help you find that 1994 E500 in black, I know of 2 for sale today just in Connecticut.

Suburb of Chicago. Go White Sox!

Transportation is not an issue. All I would need is a PPI and possibly a peak by a fellow MB enthusiast.

Do you have details on the Conn. cars?

Chi-town ....you beat up the ole Red Sox last week...that's fer sure.

Both cars are very low mileage Greenwich (super rich persons town) cars...I've seen one this past summer in person, perfect ; but for 30 grand plus; it belongs in a garage aka queen/collector style. Doubtful it has sold since August but maybe.

I will see if I can dig up some info for you; neither are advertised as far as I know. I think the other one is a more of a driver with close to 100K on it...but still pretty nice as told by one who has seen that one. Both appear to be totally stock too. Bonus.

I beleive there are also a few 94's for sale over at 500Esctasy.com in the classifieds this week.

I'm looking for a driver with less than 100K miles. And the price has to be realistic. The market has dropped for all used cars especially one's that get 15-17mpg.

I'm not negotiating but people have to be realistic. $30K is dreaming. A 2001 E55 w/30k miles is in the $20-30k range. The most a E500/500E is going to be worth is today, because of depreciation.

As you know, I'll soon have an expert opinion as to the value of a 500E from my insurance company. They are on their third appraiser.

I would never buy another one except for the fact I have a another 500E for parts.

I hear ya'...but folks would and do pay 30 grand for a low mileage 500E queen...happens quite often. I certainly wouldn't though. Collectors cars the E500Es will be, especially the cherry, low mile ones....unlike the W210 and W211 E55s.

As for your insurance company and their expert opinion on its value...keep dreaming !! They will low ball you without a doubt. They work in their best interest, not yours. You may want a few independent/collectors appaisers take on it as well. Do you have a replacement rider in place? I'll wager your ins. co. comes in well under $15K as a value of your crashed car...which I agree, stinks out loud.

I'm sure a 20 grand or less 94' E500 driver you will find under 100K miles....especially in black or grey. If the other one I haven't seen in Greenwich turns out to be OK and available...I will certainly post the info for you. Calling someone now on it.

It's worse! The first local adjuster estimated the value at $12.5, the second national adjuster couldn't even find any comparible vehicles sold and could not even place a value, the third adjuster was hired by my Insurance and the adjuster hired someone else to look at the car. I should have the value today, although the person handling my claim is out of the office until the 17th. It has been one month since the accident! Now I know why people hate Insurance Companies.

Because the claim is filed under my Collision, the policy states replacement value. It is going to be very interesting.

The White Sox 5 games at most.
