2003 White Lancer Evo One of a kind Highly Modified for Sale
Hi All;
Just wanted to see what the interest would be for my car on this board. I realize most guys on here are euro guys but I come from playing with imports and although I love this car to death, I can probably do somethin else with the $$ and decided to take a big hit on the car. The car itself was something like 32-33k out the door and I've invested @ least 70-75k into the car in labor and modifying. It's not for the lighthearted in other words but the result is the ultimate daily driver in my opinion. The car has barely 10k on it and has been babied all throughout. If anyone here is familiar with dsm and mitsubishi tuning, then you know Roadrace is practically the only place you would want to work on the car. Any guys there can vouch for the car since I know them well. Some of you might have seen their exhibition 4g eclipse @ the LA autoshow and they also helped setup the Ralliart 4g Eclipse as well. Completely stealth as well. Let me know if any of you guys are interested, thanks for looking.

A lot was in labor. But please take a look @ all the parts added. I realize you guys may not be familiar with parts for the evo but if you add those parts up alone, you should reach about 40k. All the parts were selected by me (basically did not go cheap top to bottom to build a reliable daily driver) through a lot of research and RRE's recommendations. Also in terms of your friend, I have no idea which car he sold and for how much and exactly how accurate of power you're speaking of. But there are no evos other than 2.4 built motors running gt40r or bigger turbos reaching 450whp on 91 octane (must be a 2.4 since 40r+ turbos would be stupid lag on the 2.0 liter). Honestly it's funny since technically I spent more $$ on this car than the e55 total actually.

While no one is denying what it might have cost you in research, parts, labor, etc, it all comes back to the age old car mod. dilemma...the more you spend, the bigger the hit you take when you try to sell it. (Perfect example is a very nice Kleemann C55 posted here for sale a while back)..
My advice: your best bet to gain the largest fraction back of your money is by parting the car out...

No doubt, but I don't have the time to gather up all my stock parts (of which some I sold) and get to it myself. And the fact is if I have someone else do it I'd be just paying more money to part the car out. This option obviously has been raised to me a couple times already. But I agree with you, the best way to recover the money is through parting the car out and I am in no way trying to make any kinda of profit on this deal, I'm taking a big hit as it is and perhaps you're right, may have to come to the point where I need to take an even bigger hit. If that's the case, then so be it but the truth is as much as I love the car, I just don't have the need for 2 cars @ this point in my life. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey all,
I didn't have the greatest light, but I took a lot of pictures of John here's Evo. I'm helping him find an owner so this Evo can put a big smile on that guy's face.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I really didn't hold back on the car and the only reason there isn't a 2.4 4g64 in there is because Road Race Service didn't feel comfortable building them back then with the upgraded oil squirters and the water pump conversion. But the built 2.0 liter is definitely bulletproof. About the tranny link, I cannot say enough good things about the tre race spec transmission...it shifts like butter @ 9k every time and has held all the power I've thrown @ the car perfectly. Someone mentioned they used to work @ RRM, if you were there about a year ago, you might have seen my car hidden there in the back awaiting my pickup since Mike @ RRE didn't want other people messin with it @ RRE. =D But thanks again everyone for looking.
