I have For Sale a beautiful Burl Walnut and Stone Steering wheel for a 2003 - 2004 W209 CLK.

This wheel is beautiful and I regretfully need to sell this wheel as it won't fit my 2005.

I bought this wheel from a senior member of this board figuring it would fit my 2005 CLK500 but found due to tiptronic shifters Mercedes put on the 2005 model year and changes MB made to the column mounting it won't fit on my car.

Previous seller refuses to do the honorable thing and refund my money so I'm forced to list it for sale here.

Wheel was used by previous seller but is in MINT condition and is sold as is.

I hope one of you folks can use this wheel as it will certainly will complete the look of your ride.

Did the previous owner tell you it would fit and then leave you hanging????? If he did, that sucks, and you should post a thread calling him out!!!! Sorry that it won't fit my car as it is awsome looking! Good luck.

Yes I was told this would fit a W209 by the seller who is a senior member of this board and up till now a well respected member. What I wasn't told is that it will only fit on a 03-04 model year. Mine is a 05 which the seller knew. When I took to dealer and aftermarket installer they told me I couldn't install it cause the 05 has tiptronic shifters on the steering wheel and that MB made changes to the wheel mounting on the column. I was hoping the seller would be honorable, take the wheel back and offer a refund. He is refusing refund and now stating sale is final. I was never informed of this prior to my receiving the wheel. It's not so much the $$ but more the principle. You'd think and hope that members of MBWorld are honorable and do the right thing.

If the circumstances were reversed I'd give a refund just to keep a good standing in the MBWorld community. As we all know it's extremely difficult to build a good reputation in life and on the internet and doing stupid things (like not offering refund) will quickly kill any good reputation someone has.

You may want to try www.formymercedes.com. I believe he has em shipped from Germany. Price will likely be a lot more than $450 though.
