Note: With a computer chip, these cars produce 625hp and 738 lbs.ft. of torque. There are several examples of slick'd cars running mid 11's with just that mod (and the sticky tires)

Standard warranty is still in place.
All service done at factory intervals.
Car has no leaks, no bad habits.
Always garaged.
Hand washed weekly.

MSRP= $147,900
Asking = $123,000

I'm off of Crown Valley and Antonio.

Next Project: Haven't decided yet...maybe M5. Gotta sell this one before I get serious about the next chapter.

IMO I think the car is priced a little high... I've seen quite a few new 05 SL600's leave the lot in the past couple months for around 30k under msrp...my guess is given that the car is used though the designo makes up for some of it...it would be appropriately priced at 105-110k...or maybe im just off haha

Very nice car! Love the way it looks with those 20's in black! Just wondering......is there an additional emblem on the bottom half of the doors? I can see the same thing on the right side of the trunk lid. What exactly is that? Can it be removed?

Thanks!

Yes, it is a decal denoting Nurburgring. Comes right off.

I am actively in the market for a used 230-series SL600 and have been closely following eBay for the past few weeks. FWIW, following is information on eBay listings of 2004 and 2005 SL600s. Without meaning any disrespect to the seller of this beautiful '05 Designo SL600, these data indicate that, at least as far as eBay is concerned, this car is not just priced "a little high," but a lot. How well eBay represents the market as a whole is certainly debatable. Also, from eBay and other internet sites, prices for used SL600s are all over the map with a spread of $50K. Values may be subject to local anomalies (higher prices in CA, perhaps). Given all these caveats, here are data from recent closed eBay listings. Note the following abbreviations:

2/21 = closing date of eBay listing
04 or 05 = model year
Blk = exterior color
7.8k = odometer mileage (7800 miles)
BIN = Buy It Now price
HI = Highest bid
NB = No bids
S/NS = sale or no sale
OPTNS = Options: 1 AMG pkg; 2 keyless go; 3 partronic; 4 distronic; 5 panorama roof; 6 heated steering wheel; 7 tire pressure monitor; 8 Designo

2/21: 04/Slvr/22k/HI $72600/NS/base model (no options)
2/22: 04/Grph/25k/BIN $87000/HI $73600/NS/OPTNS 2,7,8
2/23: 05/Blu/9k/HI $90100/S/OPTNS 2,3,4,5
2/24: 04/Des Slvr/10k/BIN $94850/NB-NS/OPTNS 1,2,3,5
2/25: 04/Des Slvr/7k/BIN $86500/HI $78000/NS/OPTNS 2,3
2/25: 04/Blk/7k/BIN $99850/NB-NS/OPTNS 1,2,3,5,6
2/27: 04/Slv/8k/BIN $86500/NB-NS/OPTNS 2,6,7
2/28: 04/Des Slvr/7k/HI $82000/NS/OPTNS 1,2,3,4
2/28: 05/Blk/5k/BIN $97500/HI 75200/NS/OPTNS 1,2,3
3/02: 05/Blk/7k/BIN $97500/NB-NS/OPTNS none
3/09: 04/Blk/7k/BIN $99850/NB-NS/OPTNS1,2,3,5,6,7
3/10: 04/Des Slvr/7k/BIN $86,500/HI $78000/NS/OPTNS 2,3
3/12: 04/Slv/8k/BIN $86500/NB-NS/OPTNS 2,6,7
3/13: 04/Pwtr/29k/HI $73888/S/OPTNS 4,5,7

Some listings are later attempts to sell the same car, and I might have missed some options. Of the 14 closed listings, just two sold, and one of those (3/13) was a factory buy back with high miles. The only sold '05 was barely over $90K. Add some value for Designo and the aftermarket rims and you're still under $100K. Just MHO. No flames, please!

I have to agree. The SL's have been taking a big hit with depreciation... Wether it be a 55 65 600. I have seen 04 and 05 600's go for as low as $65k and as high as $100k. Never mind dealer auctions such as the one in Orlando where an 05 Sl65 went for $105k ...Best of luck in the sale but its fair to say its $25k over priced....

65k for a 600? i doubt that, unless it had some serious miles on it.
