Testing the waters...

It's been a while since I was on this board. Nice to see it's more popular than ever! I sold my W208 CLK back in 2002 and i've had my Carlsson wheels sitting in storage ever since. I even forgot they were there for a while.

I'll post pics if anyone is interested but i'll wait until I get any PM's since the storage local is off-site. I had some pics here in the CLK picture thread but i think it's been purged. I can no longer find my old car. It use to be here when i posted as TechB. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...=7460#post7460

Condition: Good to Excellent. The wheels are perfectly true. No Bends, or scratches whatsoever. They do have the occasional knicks but from what i remember but no stains at all. I do also remember one of the wheels had the clearcoat around the lip starting to show some wear. Again, i'll post pics if any interests.

Size: 18x8.5 for all 4. 5x120 bolt pattern (I believe that's what the pattern were)

Tires: not included but I did run a staggered 235/255 setup.

Extras: All lenghthened bolts included for proper installation. As well as the Carlsson supplied hubcentric adaptors (I don't know the technical term for them). Also included are H&R 10mm wheel spacers for the rear that cost me a pretty penny but it filled out the fender nicely. You may not need for a C Class however. The original Carslsoon center caps have never been removed from the plastic wrapping. I used the factory center caps from the OEM wheel. It's a conservative clean almost OEM look so they're not "Bling" by any means.

Looking to just get rid of them for a fair price. I'll entertain all offers. Local folks in socal get preferential treatment.

They're just sitting there in storage so might as well make another fellow MBWorld'er happy!

Dave OH: Oops, thanks for correcting. Its 5x112

rlee02135: Give me a couple of days to get close up shots of each wheel (need to drive to the storage area). That'll also give me some time to think of what $ i'm comfortable selling them at. I should be able to dig up some old pics of my car with the Carlsson's mounted in the meantime. Those can go up later tonight or tomorrow.

Additional info: I wiped them down at least once a week and they've been plastic wrapped while sitting in storage

i can't seem to find a way to edit my original post? I *finally* had a chance to take pictures this weekend. Been busy, sorry.

Anyway, i've noticed more imperfections from what i last remember but isn't that always the case ? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. High rex pics available upon request. I'm in socal local (Alhambra/Pasadena to be exact). Also, my cousin took the 10mm H&R hubcentric spacers for the rear but I also had to roll my rear fenders (see pic below). Won't need to roll without spacer.

Asking $900 OBO. It's just a starting price since i have no clue at all how much these go for now. I remember paying $3200 for them but I had good tires to boot.

i'll post them on eBay in a later this week if no PM's. thanks for looking

i don't remember the offset. i'm sorry. but i believe they are +35 all the way around. you don't need spacers for the C class from what I know but please check with your local shop. hoping someone can chime in here. You will need to use the factory supplied adapter/spacers that you see in the pictures. Those are made by carlsson and come with the wheel during purchase. it will not be hubcentric without those parts so consider them part of the wheel not individual spacers.

Is this a direct fit for W210 2002 E320? What tire size I be running on?

I am currently on factory 17" 5 spoke special edition similar to this and like it very much. It may works well with the latest Carlsson suspension kit upgrade recently.

They fit the W210 but i cannot be sure about the W211. having said that, the W208 is similar (if not identical) to W202 C class and perhaps W203 in terms of wheel base and wheel fitment. The W208 CLK had the same offset configuration as the W202 from my vague memory. If you know the comparison between fitment for W202 vs. W210 then there's your answer.

I would also recommend 225-245 in the front and 255 in the rear.

I wish you were local so you can see fitment personally. fitment is relative though. I cannot speak to how far they "stick out". this was important to me.. so decide accordingly.

p.s. it's times like this i wish i remember what the exact offset is!

i forgot to include in this sale. two sets of H&R springs for the CLK W208. One set is pretty brand new one I rode on for about 30k miles before i sold my car. The later was cut .75 coil in the front to level the car. I'm taking offers and will let them go for cheap+shipping and/or paypal fees.
