We use to make the carbon fiber engine cover and airbox for any of the V8 Kompressor AMG cars, E55, SL55, CLS55, CL55, S55 etc... This will fit any of those cars. We no longer make these parts because of the difficulty and labor involved in wrapping these in carbon fiber. We use all Mercedes Benz Factory parts which are then wrapped in carbon fiber. This was for my partner who was going to get an E55, now is undecided and wants an E63. So this is the last of these we have and the last one we will ever make. This is brand new never used, i even have the Green Filters already installed in the airboxs. Our retail price for this use to be over $1,500 with Green Filters, now i can sell this for $899 which is honestly hundreds less then our cost to make it.

This is a serious question, so please do not laugh, but does this add any performance gains?

 

No because it is the factory parts used, same thing that comes on the car stock only wrapped in CF, this is just a cosmetic mod, of course with the Green Filters you will pick up some HP though.

Well rims are a bit different as you dont need to open the hook to show off your wheels and it does add a bit of performance i.e wider tires more stability, better traction..etc..etc.... Anyways, man if it were a few hundred cheaper, i'd be all over it...... thanks neal..

 

looks very cool but like stated above who will ever see it and no performance gains. if you do just get rid of it cheeper feel free to PM me if the price is right i would buy it for the hell of it. or maybe we can go package deal on that and a spolier lip. i know im always tryin to get deals.

 

There was a slight mishap with this on Friday, it was on the shelf and a small hammer fell on top of it from 2 shelf's above. It only made a slight crack, which I had fixed over the weekend, now it is totally unseen and fixed better then new. I had it filled in, buffed and re clear coated. What it did do which I cannot fix is make a slight pull in the CF which caused a small white area in the CF. As you see it is so small it is still great looking and you cannot even see it unless you go on top of it, and even then its not even bad. Also one picture from a distance showing how nice it all looks.

New price is $749 because of this! WITH GREEN FILTERS! If anyone wants this hurry up and let me know so I can have it shipped by Tuesday since I will be gone for SEMA till Saturday.
