How much should I charge for wheels? Need Help!
Just had the original wheels from my '06 S55 refinished by a company that is supposed to be among the best of the best (Nationwide Wheel Repair out of Waldorf, MD). Had all four restored/refinished to stock appearance..they had some curb rash...no cracks or anything. They are a year old and they sell new through MB for $8,960 for the set. They are the 19" type IV two piece AMG wheels that are standard on the '06 S55. No chrome lip or anything...just stock wheel.
If they go for $8,960 new, what should I charge for the set...tires or no tires...doesn't matter to me. Any help is appreciated. I've never bought or sold used wheels before so I have very little to go on. Link to picture attached below. I would like to get the S65 wheels instead which is why I'm considering replacing.

1992 300E, 145k, 18" ST4s, blacked out grill, euro lights, clear corners
check out ebay, search for amg 19 and amg 18. That should give you a really good idea, not just on what people are trying to sell them for, but also what people are willing to pay.
Good luck!!

I know, but everything on ebay is AMG "style"...knock off wheels, or they are new. Haven't been able to find any real AMG that have been refinished to see what they bring.

Completely refinished...didn't want to half-ars it. Lip remilled and everything. Cost was $700...deal I got through my friend at MB, which includes mount and balance of all four when finished.
I was originally thinking I'd get in the $2,500 range, which is an insane depreciation, but I understand that wheels lose value like an S65. The good thing is that the wheels will come with a lifetime warranty from this company that refinished them which is transferrable. Not sure what that adds to their value...maybe just some peace of mind that it was done by a professional.
Well, if anyone wants them for $2,500 (no tires), they're yours. With tires $3,500 since the tires (P/S2 All Season) are new and they'd already be mounted and balanced. PM me if interested. I tried to attach pics, but it's not working.

Were you happy with the repair job? I am looking for a good repair shop in the area. I will also ask around and see if theres any interest for your rims. Thanks.

Yeah, that's bizarre. I tried to look them up on Yahoo and couldn't find it either. I think they do work mostly for the dealers in MD, VA, and DC. I know they do all the wheel work for American Service Center, Mercedes of Alexandria, EuorMotorcars, and Select Auto Imports. The guy who owns Select Auto gave me his name also (MB Alexandria sent me to him first) and it was under a different company name. I'll call the guy at the wheel repair place and ask if he has a website.

I can't figure out how to post the pics...tried in my first post and no picture shows up. I get the wheels back Wednesday and will take some pics. If you do a search on ebay or autotrader, you can look for '06 S55 and take a look at the wheels...if you're just wondering what type of wheel it is.

Just got the car back last night and all I can say is WOW! The wheels look amazing. I'll take pics this afternoon. The guy at the wheel repair shop told me he didn't have any mirror chrome finish, so he wouldn't be able to make them look like the S65 wheel. Well, he surprised me and got some, and got an S65 wheel from the MB dealer to take with him so he could match it properly. Can't wait to see what you folks think. I think it's amazing.
