2006 C55

Well I really don’t want to sell it but parking has become a problem since I have 4 other cars and only two garages. It’s a 2006 C55 with all the options MB Canada has to offer except roll up shades. The car has 490Km that right 490 NOT 4090 but FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY KM. I paid $95,660.00 including taxes; I am asking $85,000 CDN ($73,000 US). If interested please pm me.

Thanks.

Any interior pictures? Wow, you barely drove this thing!

I guess you got all the options, because $73K (USD) seems pretty high priced for a C.

Anyway, good luck, it's a beauty!

Yes, I can attest this is how expensive these babies are in Canada (the damn 14% tax on top ), and this one is practically new. Dealers here use a conveniently crappy CAD exchange rate from a few years back...

Have you tried to trade it back in with the same dealer? This may be your best bet... Local listing may work well too... Some people will prefer local over the import hastle...

Yeah exactly... man, you should have brought your car in America if you paid that much initially. I'm thinking a lot of things on the C55 Canadian edition are standard in the U.S. edition -- because to my recollection (tell me if I'm wrong), there isn't much options for this car - it comes quite loaded.

Maybe try trading it in at your dealership, you may get a 'okay deal'.

Anyway, BUMP, just cause it's beautiful!

Do you guys at least get some cool options the US can't get? I mean my was *loaded* and it only came out to about 65K.

Or is all the added price from tax?

Wink

I hear what you guys are saying but like I said I paid $95 and I will be losing over $10-12 thousand on a car that’s practically new. It has been advertise locally and trading in @ my dealer is NOT an option. I am not desperate to sell so if it doesn’t sell it doesn’t; my friend suggested that I list on this site maybe someone would be interested. The car has never been cleaned except upon delivery because it never got dirty I drove it three times and where I live some people have NO respect for other peoples property so its been in the garage since because if any one damages this car I don’t know what I will do. So to prevent this issue I am willing to part with it.

Yes it does,
but I told my sales guy if they drill or installs the front plate holder I am not taking the car, so he did what I asked. It is illegal to not have a front license plate in Ontario but I would rather pay the fine than ruin the front bumper look.

I wish we don't get parktronic as an option on the C” Class and they charge for things that are included for you guys. The car market in Canada is totally different than in the US, I know because I work for a US supplier to DCX (Daimler Chrysler)

I am not offended by what you said, it is a rough market especially for a C” Class costing that much even if it is an AMG. But like I said in my reply if it does not sell O’ well.

their so cheap in the states but you cant buy one new from the US and import them here, i've tried. even if you buy a used one there are so much things you need to go through which IMHO isnt worth it.

but i think you should keep it or maybe considering selling one of your other cars or even trade this and another for one? (just my 2 cents). i lost 30k CDN on my c230 (2005) wheni sold it a month ago.

Wow $30k's daam!
The reason I am not getting rid of one of my other cars is because they are older 98-2003 (in excellent shape though) and like this one I am not willing to take that much of a lost, I guess I am not buying any more new cars for a while or until I get a bigger house with MORE garage space.

very clean ride...identical to mine except the front grill mod.

I thought you work for Daimler-Chrysler, didn't you get an employee discount for AMG vehicles.

when i was in turkey , i asked for one. they retail 178. 000 US dollars(all together with taxes) Thats right 178.000 US dollars for a brandnew C55 with no options. a standart C was (C200 kompressor) about 60.000 Euros.

now you say no one would buy one with those prices. well i was suprised , they sell really good. especially in big cities like istanbul ankara. 2-3 cars out of 10 are Mercs.

But there is one great thing about all this. The cars dont really tank in value. A brand new 07 C200 K is 60000 Euros and a 06 C200 K with 8-12k miles go for 56-57 k Euros. 05 is like 53-55k.

The prices for MB's in Turkey aren't surprising but its safe to say that the majority of the MB's you saw on the road weren't bought new or even bought in Turkey. Most are bought used from other countries and brought in.

yes, but in canada one of the special options is a "fellatio driver's seat", so I suppose some might find that worth an extra $25k...
