zoink- My wife loves the Gallardo and thats her number one choice. We have an 06 Porsche Cayenne that we love and I considered the GT3RS, but no way am I paying 50k over msrp We also like the Ferrarri CS, but she keeps going back to the Gallardo. No real reason I guess, just that it is a drivable exotic that looks good. As far as the price of my C55, I can't believe no one has jumped at the opportunity either. I just can't make it any more fair Every dealer I went to has offered me 38-39k, so for someone to be to be able to pick it up at 2k over is a great deal. At this point, the only reason I'm still considering selling privately is to be able to buy a G that is not local. I am having problems finding what we want in Florida. All the good cars are in Texas and Caifornia. I'm working with Lamborghini of Atlanta and Lamborghini of Dallas right now and if this C55 doesn't sell in two weeks it will be traded in. I'll drive the C55 out there, make it a vacation, and drive the Gallardo home I just wanted to try to make a good deal for someone on MB.
Stormin-Make it an impulse buy and just call me Just kidding, if your interested and have any questions shoot me a pm.

It's a tough niche to sell. Much higher than the usual local resale market, but not an exotic. The gray area in between always makes it hard to move these types of cars without massive exposure (and expensive exposure).
Have you shopped it at other dealers and high-end used lots?

Thanks guys for the compliments. It is a great clean car and may be traded in this week. I made an offer on a Gallardo and they are offering 39k on the trade. A few days will tell if the transaction gets completed without some sort of hiccup. If not, I'm dropping it off at Carmax.
exanimas- I'm a pilot, but my wife is the one who makes all the money That's why she's getting a Gallardo.... LOL...
RBrenton- Tell me about it. I thought for sure someone would buy it at 41K. Oh well, it will be gone in a week or two no matter what

Car Was Traded In!!!
The car has been traded in as of tomorrow morning. We have all agreed on the terms and they gave me the 39k I asked for. If anyone wants the location of the car, it is at Lamborghini of Miami. Talk with Henry or Daniel. They were exceptional to work with and I would think someone could still get a great deal with financing options.

zoink- Tell me about it. I have tried forever to sell this thing and only 1 interested party. I can't sit back any longer and watch it depreciate anymore. I have already taken more of a beating than I like. Owning this MB has been an eye opener, let me tell you. Never again will I buy a new AMG, which is a shame because I love their cars. And for reference these are running through auctions in the low-mid 30's and thats what the dealers are looking at. I am very fortunate to have even gotten 39k on the trade. At least now someone can buy it and hopefully not lose too much on resale seeing as I already took it in the booty hole Now I will start enjoying my Gallardo and start the fun task of doing a few mods.

Well, once you've got the Gallardo, you'll forget the C55 and all its depreciation pretty soon. G is in a completely different league from C55.
But selling a car like this is really a game of luck. I tried to sell my C55 more than 3 months ago and no taker.... and then when eBay had this $1 listing fee for cars, I listed it for the same price ($41,498 OBO) but somehow attracted more people. I got 15 inquiries (even though only 5 serious ones - but hey better than only 2 before). At the end, I sold it for $39,850 w/ 20.8K miles. Didn't get what I wanted (above $40K I wish )... but not too bad after I see your case. j/k

Here's the C55's replacement. A 2008 Twin Turbo Porsche Cayenne loaded with everything including a back up camera. This thing is awesome. Exhaust, filters, and a few other mods on the way I'll be back with an E55 or CLK Black to play with, but for now take care...........

Zoink-Way too much BS involved. You wouldn't think so at that level Every car we looked at had some story or huge amounts of BS involved. There has been lies about remaining clutch life(which is easy to find out through a computer read out), changing the price of the car when we went to pick it up, to having no idea when the last service was done. I could go on and on. The thing that put me over the edge and made me decide to walk away from buying a Lambo was when the last dealer I spoke with didn't and still hasn't called me back after two weeks. They have all my loan approval papers and everything. So, I went and bought a new CTT and am trying to get a good report with my local Porsche dealership so I can get some rights to GT3 or GT3RS. If a nice Lambo comes along with all services up to date and doesn't have 6 owners and no clutch replacement in 3k miles I'll jump on it. But for now, I am going to mod the hell out of my CTT and have fun. Here are some new pics. It is awesome to drive

Very nice. What are the performance numbers on it? I personally would went with the black series amg but that's definitely a very nice vehicle. Enjoy.

The only real numbers I've seen is a guy with filters went 13.07@107. I already ordered exhaust, filters, and diverter valves. I may take it to the track this Wednesday and see what it runs stock. I'll dyno it once the mods are on. As far as the black series comment. All I'm gonna say is I got 12k more for my Porsche on trade than they offered on my C55. Both same year, same miles, and same MSRP. And that was at different dealers for different cars and the numbers were the same across the board. I will never buy another AMG new I'll wait til the black takes a hit which it will and I'll possibly pick one up after about 7 months if I'm still in love with it. The black series looks so good in white. If MB had stronger resale numbers I would've kept my allocation. Just a little gun shy now
Thanks for the compliments guys. It is an awesome feeling driving a 500hp awd suv.
