2002 C230 Coupe
FS: Stiegemeier ported M111 supercharger (Eaton M45 for C230)

Selling an Eaton M45 Supercharger (stock unit used on the 1999 - 2002 C230 with the M111 motors I believe.) This supercharger was gone-through by Stiegemeier and ported. I used this on my 2002 C230 Coupe for the last 6 - 7 months (3000 miles) but am returning to stock. What was done:

- Stiegemeier disassembled and fully inspected the supercharger
- Stiegemeier ported the supercharger ($395)
- Stiegemeier stripped the coating from the helical gearss ($45)
- Stiegemeier re-assembled and added fresh oil to the supercharger

Anyone doing this mod will need to find a supercharger (used from $300, or new starting at $650) and send it to Stiegemeier for their port work. Buying this supercharger gives you a fully serviced unit without having to exchange your core or buying a core.

Asking $475 obo. No low-ball offers please. I prefer not to ship this unit, so local sale favored. But if shipping is required, I will ship the supercharger within the continental US for $50.

If interested, please email me at robert_t_king AT hotmail DOT com.

Bob

Bump for you Bob,

Sorry to see that you are letting this unit go. I likey mines. Here is a pic of mine from before and after the porting at Steig.

Before with Gasket sitting atop mounting surface

After....Drool...

In the end I saw better Gas Mileage, and a improved S/C sound.

Now, what are youd doing with the Boost a Pump?

Hows the F car?

Thanks for the bump and the pics Ed!

The Boost A Pump is now disconnected. I was runing into radio interference on AM and wasn't able to get the Air/Fuel ratio where I wanted it. In fact, the BAP didn't do anything alone. It needs a Fuel Management Unit (FMU) which I purchased, but didn't install. (No time and, with a 11 month old boy, my wife wasn't keen to let me work on the car and come back into the house smelling like fuel.)

The F-Car is at the shop getting a major service done. Got new wheels/tires for it and I enjoyed it for the short time it was in my garage. Very calm, competent handling and the wail of a high revving V8 is hard to beat. I can't wait to get the car back and put more miles on it!

What did the FMU cost?

What is the brand?

FMU is a Vortech unit (I believe.) Purchased it used from evilBay. It graces my workbench in a cardboard box! :-P I may use it on my Mustang SVO along with the boost-a-pump, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

Bump again for Bob. Reliable member selling a part for a steal of a price!

Sad to see you're getting rid of the coupe though.

Thanks guys! I am actually keeping the Coupe but am reverting to stock. This was an agreement with my wife so I could keep the SVO and the F-Car. Basically I would focus my attention on getting the SVO back together and still be able to keep the F-car for weekend fun.

I'll still be around and will try to catch up with everyone at some of the next SoCal events...

A dedicated family man, and a gearhead as well. It’s a delicate balance sometimes...lol!
I’ll be in CDM come September. I’d enjoy eyeballing your fine Italian machine and catching up.

The F-car needs a little TLC, but it's expected for a 24 year old car. Here's a pic...

Sure - let me know when you're in CDM. Cars & Coffee is a good place to meet, or one of the Ferrarichat forum events.

Bummer - no takers on the blower?

Dachigga, if nobody else steps up with the funds first, then the SC is yours. But bear in mind that shipping to Canada may be more and you will need to deal with Canadian customs. If you're really serious about the SC, email me and let me know and maybe we can work something out...

Damn, this was just unreal to me. The proted S/C is awesome.

In any case, Burnaby is in BC right? By Vancouver?

I know of a company in Washington state by the border, they recieve shipments on the US side, then you clear it through customs yourself.

Let me know if you want info.

That is how some of our Canadian customers import our products.

I bought it, just haven't had time to install it, I'll probably wait until late spring/summer.
