FOR SALE: 2004 Show Quality Ford SVT Lightning!!!!
Gotta a baby coming and have to go down to one car (my ML500) so I am regrettably selling my weekend toy. This website has all the details on the truck and contact numbers:
http://public.fotki.com/WWalker482/2004-ford-f-150-svt/
Price is 28k firm. The truck has 31k miles on it and is without a doubt one of the nicest Lightning examples on the road.

Actually, my Lightning gets better mileage than my E55 did. I average 15-16mpg in mixed driving over the last year of fillups. ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
I think part of that is the fact that the truck is pretty light being a standard cab and the electric fans and single-blade throttle body I added seemed to have helped.
If I do alot of city driving or do some horsing around, it will go down to 14, but overall I've been very surprised that it hasn't been a big gas guzzler.

Steel Grey 2012 ML350 is wife's
My stock '03 Lightning never achieved more than 9.5 mpg combined... neither did my '04 Ram w/1st gen Hemi. I believe the sb Viper truck gets 18+ mpg when driven moderately.

Well, as you know, you probably aren't going to drive a Lightning (or any full-size truck) if gas mileage is a big concern, but I've been pleasantly surprised with this one. At 15mpg, I'm doing better than my neighbors stock 2006 F150 4x4 which really gets him mad.

I believe your mods w/the gain in torq adds to the increased mpg when keeping your foot out of it.
I drove my '94 viper from Mississippi to Atlanta getting 25 mpg doing a steady 80 mph on the xways... 6th gear something like 1400 rpm (from memory

Nice truck. I had an '02 True Blue I purchased new and was very satisfied. Someone is going to get a very nice toy!
I love your center display with the integrated V1 readout. Very cool!

Ya...the Lightnings really are great trucks. Ford finally did something right when they made this vehicle (and the 03 Terminator of course). It would make a nice addition to an AMG Benz!!!

Nice whip!
'04 was the last year of the Lightning, correct? That should make it all the more interesting for anyone looking at it...
I passed on an '03 earlier this year, just couldn't justify it with the family, but an awesome ride nonetheless.
Best of luck with the sale, someone's getting a sweet ride.

Yeah...04 was the last year which is why the L's are holding their value pretty good. The newer body style F-150's were just too heavy to make a Lightning vehicle that could compete with the SRT10 from what I understand.

For an insane, super clean ride!!!
I really wish you would hurry up and sell this, I'm still mad about the one I passed on last year, and there's no comparing yours to it (it was bone stock)...
Good luck
