Just bought this service DVD from my dealer. I used it (once) to upgrade the Nav processor in my E320 and now I have no use for it.

If you are using a 2004.2 (USA) or 3.0 (ECE) or older map and you want to upgrade to a newer map, then you will probably need this service DVD.

For example, I needed the service DVD in order to upgrade from the 2004.2 map to the 2006.2 version.

I'll take $20.00 for the DVD plus shipping. As you can see in the photo, the total cost for me was just over $25. Make me an offer.

OP: Is this the software that could give you ETA and distance to destination?

I upgraded mine from 2005.2 to 2006.2 and don't get that thing... read from a thread somewhere, it seems I need to update my software.

Tom: You know that this is not the Nav Disc itself. I think you know... but just want to make sure Not sure from 2004.x but from 2005.2 to 2006.2, AFAICS no difference in the graphics.

Zoink is correct, Tom. This is not the map, but rather it is the update software for the navigation module.

To answer your question, Tom...no, I haven't noticed any difference in 2004.2 and 2006.2.

Zoink...you need to update your Comand Head Unit with Service CD W211 589 14 22 00 in order to see the ETA. The software that I have is the Service DVD that updates the navigation processor. Search these forums for the aforementioned part number and you should find lots of info.

OP... thanks for confirming. One thing that could hold me back w/ this update...

Some members said that with this update, you couldn't enter destination while driving. Is it the case?

No flame. But wasn't there a thread about this in the W211 that mentioned that its $12 at the dealership. Unless of course the dealership does there own pricing setup.

Not all, but yes, some. In my case I lost lost the ability.
Just asked my dealer to re activate the ability for the "passenger" to enter destination while in motion.
It's done via Star diagnostics and takes all of 5 min @ N/C.

Yes. According the applicable DTB, the dealership cost is $12. That is not the dealership selling price.
