I hate when people post things like this in other peoples posts I say let him sell it for what he wants, or needs to.

Very nice car you have!

Sorry if my post offended you. I meant no harm. I'm just thinking that if he/she had his/her heart set on selling the car quickly, that the asking price might be a little high. The price with original wheels is much more reasonable.

Either case, good luck on the sell. Sorry you have to part with your CLK.

Thats cool...The only reason why i would say this is cause when i had my old car i was on another board selling my car, and someone said that was i was asking to much. I was kinda mad when he said that, cause he had no idea what was put into the car. I just think it kills the post sometimes, but i see you ment no harm. That's always good to hear.
Well sorry for taking it wrong, and Kerr Best of luck....Im selling my car as well..Its not easy It's going in ebay soon.

mmgrad, I dont see how that is asking to much for the car... Look it up in the books..... Hell the benz dealer here in town is moving 99 320's for $35,000.00 From my point of view your getting a V-8 with more standard options, $4,000 woth of wheels, $1,5000 worth of 19" tires, $650.00 exhaust system, and $450.00 Springs.. Not to mention labor on those for free.

You would think one with a 02 CLK would know what his car is worth....

Like i said im not mad, I just fell my car can will bring what the dealers ask for there cars.

Also we are moving up to a S class... so i want to keep the wheels.

Engine: V8 4.3 Liter
Trans: Automatic
Drive: Rear Wheel Drive
Mileage: 59,000

Retail Value $32,690

Hell even Kelley blue book rates it a $32,690 and we all know how low there rating system is.

I am in the process of selling my car too. I have tried posting here several times, AutoTrader.com, AutoTrader magazine, and mbnz.org, but there is no luck for the past two months. So, do you guys know where is the best place to sell our cars at a "reasonable price?"

I am really sorry for sidetracking this post but I really need to sell my car within a month. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

i dont have a clue.... its almost like no one can grasp the retail of a benz..... I mean take my car for example they say $32K and some change. the car has only lost $20K in 4 years and 60,000 miles....

hell i dont know... I might try on e bay. if that does not work then i guess i will just bite the bullet and trade it. I have noticed that you get like 8-10K more if trade a benz for benz.

yeah I got the same problem lik E1. I had been posting everywhere like Autotrader, seattletimes or mbworld but still there is no one asking for the car...there is some of the guys just asking how much and thats it!! damn I think the economic is the major factor right now..

Yeah, that is another thing. The economy is not very strong, so sale of used highline luxury cars are not at its peak.

In addition to the fact that the CLK just got a complete makeover, dealers have tons of used W208 CLKs that were traded in, so they won't give you much on trade-in. At least thats how it is in my area.

I hope you get your asking price. I'd like to see that the CLK is retaining its value.

Plus, you can't always judge the value of the car based on what dealers are charging. I saw a Silver '00 E430 with 26,000 miles and a Silver '00 E320 with 48,000, both being sold at $38,900 at the dealership near me. How do you figure that one out?

Anyways, I don't want to sound argumentative. So, once again, Good luck in the sale. It is a beautiful car.
