I can help you out a little....I have looked into if a chip was worth buying for the benz...From reading tons of posts about this, it's not worth it. I have read so many complaints about this...This is not only for the benz, but for other cars as well...Most chips are all talk with no performance....I use to have a ls1 trans am and a chip would actually make you LOSE hp then gain

This is my .02 from readin about them.

ya i figured, chip does tend to make the car unreliable. I think cold ram air intake and taking out excess weight should do the trick, what do you think?
