Really good price compared to european, for that price you would get a 01 C32, with NO equipment, that has rolled for atleast 62 000miles.

To bad you have to pay extra tax if you buy things from the USA, otherwise I would be over to buy a new C32 for the same cost as a used one here....

I bought my used 01' RS4 for 61 000$, with 28000miles on it.

Btw. A brand New C32 with no addons = 78 000$ here.

thats a deal

who did renntech work and how many miles when done? Picture? Do you currently own car listed? Dealer would give you more than asking price.

THEN THEY WILL TURN IT AROUND AND SELL IT FOR 38-42K.... I SAW THE SAME EXACT CAR AS MINE WITH NO MODS, AND 31,000 MILES ON IT SELLING FOR $39,995... SOME DEALERSHIPS ARE CRAZY.. IM NOT GOING TO GIVE MY CAR AWAY. IM LOSING ENOUGH MONEY ON THE CAR AS IT IS. I BELIEVE 35K IS WELL WORTH IT ESPECIALLY WITH THE MODS.

exactly, dont get low balled. If i had your car, and had to sell it for $35000 i would feel low balled. Dealers will sell that car for $40k no problem.

Dont get desperate, all it does is lower the resale value of others, and the C32 is one that should hold off any further drops in value. There are hundreds of M3's for sale, already 100+ V8 S4's for sale, but only ~50 of so C32's on autotrader...

Wait for the right buyer, it will be worth it.

Its not that worth more than 37k max. Look on e-bay (buy now) non-starmark cars go for 36-37 and starmark cars go for 39k.

When you think that tires are around 1k, brakes 1k, and a warranty from starmark (for 1 year) is 800 (plus more if you want to go beyond one extra year) a trade in value of 33k = a sale price of around 38k with a 1k profit. Sounds about right to me. Dealerships do need to re-hab cars before selling them. This is why a private party sale tends to be less money (most people dont sell a car with new brakes and tires but MB dealerships have to under starmark regulations).

Not many of those ebay cars actually SELL, most nver meet the reserve. Same with other cars like the M3 and S4, most end up $5-6k below what they could sell for on the public market.

Unfortunately, once you mod cars to the point where they'll have the factory warranty voided if brought to a dealership I would think some value is lost.

But it Now

The buy it now feature clearly is not a auction price rather it is a price at which a seller will sell the car out right. Could the car be purchased for slightly less under the normal auction rules? Yes but Buy It Now represents a fair value on the vehicle most of the time.

Clearly "reserve not met auctions" do not show a cars value but buy it now reflects a figure between the cars asking retail price and what a seller may require to break even on the sale. And that is normally what a car is worth.

A friend with a perfect condition 2003 12k mile old C32 is asking 44k and it will most likely sell for something in the low 40k range. A 2002 with over twice the miles will clealry be a step behind that. And that 2003 C32 has been for sale for almost 4 months. Asking too much? Who knows?

Hey CynCarvin32, are you absolutely positive that when MB sells a car under the Starmark Warranty, that they HAVE to place new tires and brakes on the car?? I have never heard of that and if that is the case, then i got robbed when buying my car under the Starmark Warranty. I didn't get new tires and definately didn't get new brakes put on the car. Is this something negotiated in the contract??

Not a bad price on the C32 that is for sale. I am just looking for something that has lesser miles. Sorry E55BEAST!

To 'Starmark' a car they're supposed to measure tread depth and have a certain % of life remaining in the tires. They don't have to be brand new.

Yup... MB does not require brakes or tires to be new to be starmarked... no one does that...

as long as it has like 60 or 70% treadwear, u are in good condition...

CynCarvin32, about C32 in SoCal

So what color is the C32 in Socal for sale?

There is a green one, down there, that's fairly cheap.
