AFAIK AMG has pre-produced a large number of the M139L engines so maybe good news for 43 models running the I4 if these are re-directed towards them in their mid life update.

Agree but if they did come out with a four banger CLE 63, it wouldn't sell and we wouldn't want it would we (I think?) we still have the option of the CLE 53 while we wait for the V8 for example, yes it is not the competitor to a CLE 63's competitor like the M4 more like the 440i instead, I get it though : ) but CLE 53 is pushing M4 level power (but we can't ignore the weight).
