There is another thread but in the C 63 AMG sub-forum, I guess mods can merge them or move that other one over here?

I'm confused with the term overboost regarding the torque , with a. regular torque of 413 with a temporary overboost figure of 443 ft lbs .Does this mean the 443 is only available under maximum acceleration conditions such as in 0 to 60 time tests ? I assume in normal driving ,the torque is ' only '413' which is it or is this some kind of marketing ploy ? Either way i love what AMG has done here .

Absolutely awesome looking car with performance to match. I put a deposit on a CLE53C4 today! Sales rep said on-sale date might be as early as the end of December-early January 2024. Fingers crossed that I'll have one by spring.

So the cle will not get an amg engine? Or will we also see a 63 model?
looks amazing indeed and for me more then enough power but as its only real 4 seater coupe amg should have a 63 model on pair with the m4 and rs5

CLE 63 was spotted and unless they scrap it the last minute, the odds of it coming out is good. However, there is still debate if it is the M139 or a sueprtuned M256 M. People are saying it is the former.

This looks great to me! Having trouble deciding between CLE 53 and GT 55 - is a few more HP and 2 more cylinders worth the price difference.? Otherwise, based on features there doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference between them, even body style looks somewhat similar to me (guess the GT has a longer hood, though). What do you guys think?? Which would be your choice, and why?

Am i missing something or is the GT 55 projected to cost about $70,000 more than the CLE 53 ? If true ,then I don't see much of a comparison . GT has many advantages especially the powertrain , presumably , appearance etc . Maybe the CLE has more useful space inside . If money is not a factor then GT55 , even the 63 looks great ,but otherwise they are in different categories ..

The GT is more akin to a P car or other exotic where it is a ground up designed and built sports car whereas the CLE AMG variants are "souped up" regular passenger car models - not that there's anything wrong with that but as stated the purpose designed and built sports car will have a different driving experience and features exclusive to it.
Another factor to consider is physical size, the CLE is a large or big sized coupe. I know people with the current E Coupe and it's a large/very large sized car and the new CLE is even bigger...
I much prefer the dimensions of the new GT over the new CLE, it's wider but also lower and importantly much shorter.
The GT's Large opening hatch lid makes it hugely practical, I have an old Opel Calibra coupe which also features a large hatch lid boot (trunk) and by todays standards is a small coupe however it fits in larger luggage or items than my much larger C204 or C205 coupes because of that large size hatch lid opening. The CLE may have more room inside it, but like the comparison of my 3 coupes mentioned I can get larger items into the smaller one because of the larger access.
Either way either one these 2 new coupes from MB are a fantastic choice whichever is chosen !

Agreed! I'm all ready to buy one as soon as possible.
So, I'm hoping that MB/AMG is gaging interest to determine the "sale" date. I thought that the car was scheduled to be announced early in 2024 but they moved the announcement up to Dec. 5, 2023. That tells me that the scheduled sale date may be moved up as well.
I've already put a deposit on a CLE53. I watched the launch video on the AMG Private Lounge and commented that I was eagerly awaiting the on-sale date.
With enough interest shown in the car the schedule could be earlier than originally planned. Fingers crossed...January 2025!

Thanks AVI for the explanation on the comparison . Although there's a significant price difference ,I now understand the reason .and would probably opt for the GT if I could afford it . My purchase will be the convertible , so the interior storage space will presumably be similar, between the two vehicles .

The suspense is killing me, when are further announcements or reviews being released?
Nothing else better to do than build and configure the car in my head, going with:
Graphite Grey Magno
AMG Night Package 1
AMG Styling Package
20" Matte Black Wheels
AMG Dynamics Plus Package
Brown Nappa Leather
Carbon Fiber Trim Element
Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel
*Wish I could spec AMG Performance Seats and Red Seat Belts, but they're usually not offered with brown leather. Want to see how it looks in Alpine Grey 🩶.

You're not alone ,waiting for information on this new vehicle . Just be happy with the fact that that you know it's coming and it looks fantastic ! Even when we get the configurator , there's still the time to decide on the build , make the purchase and then the looong delivery process ! I'm guessing it will take even longer for me as it will be a convertible . I'm passing my time checking out the new ( and final ) Mustang GT HaHa .

Top 5 Wishlist - CLE 53
- AMG Performance Seats available in Brown Nappa Leather, next level luxury.
- Red or Yellow Seat Belts available for all upholstery options, Gucci and LV would approve.
- AMG GT wheel designs in black or satin gold, this isn't a Mercedes EQE sedan.
- Silver Exhaust Tips option available with AMG Night Package selected.
- Augmented reality displaying the side and rear view at all times, showing what's in front of you is completely useless.
- Notable mention, AMG F1 or Edition 1 livery options.
