Strange clicking noise from back of CLE53
I received a call and a text informing me that the tech is "having a hard time recreating the issue that you are having with your vehicle. He has requested a road test with you."
Of course, at first, I was wondering what they’ve been doing with the car for the past week if they don’t know what or where the issue is. Second, why give me the update I received a few days ago, where I was told they were inspecting the car front to back? That essentially means they didn’t even know what they were looking for.
Anyway, I drove over, and they pulled out my car (which was filthy, of course, as it’s clearly been sitting outside). It took me simply switching to drive for the noise to be evident. If that wasn’t enough, I took it around the corner, drove at low speeds, replicated the sounds by accelerating slightly, and even reversed.
The tech now claims to know what to do but once again refused to let me send them this forum or contact one of the dealers who have successfully solved the issue. Until then, the garage stays cle-less lol.
Just got my car back today here is the repair sheet they provided me with I hope this helps some people. Drove around a good amount today and no more noise so let's hope it stays that way lol.
Keep us posted.
Did you notice the noise from day one?
What year is yours and what's your production date?

It looks like my car is starting to have this issue at 1500 km/900 miles.
By the way, go to 7:46 of this recent video by a car reviewer driving a 2025 model. You hear that dreaded clinking when he launches. It still makes me cringe.
