CLE 53 Demographics

CLE 53 Demographics
I'm excited to take delivery of my new CLE 53 on the 24th, and as the date approaches, I’ve been curious about the typical demographics of CLE 53 buyers.
I’ll start: I’m in my early 50s and have primarily driven Audis and Porsches for the last 20+ years. This will be my first Mercedes-Benz, but the design and features of the CLE 53 were compelling enough that I decided to trade in my beloved 2020 Audi S7 for it.
Are CLE 53 buyers generally younger, or is it appealing to a broader age range? I’d love to hear who’s choosing this model and why.
Hope everyone’s enjoying the fall weather and taking the opportunity for some scenic drives!

I will be ordering in a couple of weeks. I am 72 years old. I was going to get a CLE 450 until I saw the styling of the CLE 53 and I was toast. My last 3 cars were a Jaguar XE, Porsche Panamera, and a Porsche Macan S.

I'll be ordering a CLE 53 AMG Cabrio when they are available in early 2025 . This will be my fourth Mercedes ,my current one being an E450 cabrio .
I need something a little more 'sporty' before the electrics take over ! I'II be 80 next week ,so no time to lose !

I’m 59 and semi-retired. My last daily driver was G550, but also had an SL550 & GL450 a few years back. Other than that, mostly bimmers: 8 of them. I haven’t owned a pick-up in number of years, so I’m getting one of those to replace the G-Wagen’s ability to explore places outside the paved world.

The CLE 300 might target older customers though, while the CLE 53 targets younger.
I for one also recommend this vehicle given the great value proposition and we just need to appreciate the fact that MB still makes coupes and convertible while the competitors like bmw and audi shrugs.
bmw upsells you to the 8 series by eliminating the 6 series that targets the E coupe and convertible customers while audi is slowly phasing everything out.
The bmw 4 series targets c coupe and convertible customers so the CLE is a tier higher and it certainly shows with the massaging seats and more comfortable seats in general.

I’m 48. Have had prior MBs, BMW, Porsche, Ford, Chevy, and more. I believe the price point of the CLE 53 will lean towards older buyers simply due to where they are in the careers and life. Probably many 30s and most of 20 something couldn’t afford this car.

I ordered my 2025
I'm 78 and have ordered an Alpine Grey 2025 CLE 53, build date 11/11/24. For the last 20 years I have owned Jaguars: XK 8, XK, XKR, F Type R. I didn't leave Jaguar, Jaguar left me. I was looking for a 2-door coupe but really didn't like anything out there until the CLE 450 came out. I liked it but then I heard the CLE 53 was coming. Glad I waited.

2024 CLE AMG53, 2019 VW Tiguan SEL
I'm 80 and some neighbors and/or friends think I have lost my mind or trying to relive my youth.
I've been an auto enthusiast since high school, racing with my buddies and following all sorts of motor racing.
When I saw this AMG53, I knew this was my opportunity to add a little spice to my life.
My other car, an SUV is for domestic duties.
My AMG is for thrills and so far with only 1800 miles its just the beginning. As I park it I look back and marble at the sexy curves & muscular design.
And never mind the 449 HP and driving dynamics.
Cheers,
LTBM

Early 60's here. Coming out of of a 2019 C43 that I was absolutely in love with but which recently met an untimely end after an unfortunate collision with a Kia. Thought about a new C43 but couldn't warm up to the new configuration.
Got my first M3 in 1997 and it was BMW's until they came out with the F Series cars, and then I was done. Went to an Audi S5 and then the C43. Mixed in were a 2007 RX-8 (still have) and a 2009 370Z (meh).

As I posted above I am 72 and planned to order soon. I admire those of my age and even older with the lust for life to buy this car. This car is going to be the last new car I buy and after further reflection I have come to the conclusion I probably could not live with the CLE 53 for the rest of my life. That would mean going through the angst of buying another car in 3 years or so. As I have seen posted in this forum and many others purchasing a new car is no fun anymore. I have put a few more bucks into the kitty and am currently awaiting a callback from a dealer on an S580. I appreciate all the great information and back and forth on this forum and will be active on the S Class forum.
