Piece of s**t

Normally, I just roll backwards on the car's own power out of the garage but it would not move.
I gave it a bit of gas and then I heard a very loud clunk and then it was able to back out of the garage.
Now, when I brake going forward, I hear a loud clicking sound from the left side.
3oo miles on the odometer and then this?
My 23 BMW M340i has been rock solid since December 22.
Not a good start for me and PHXACT with our CLE 53's.
I hope I don't regret buying this car.

I agree, it is a bit unnerving and seemingly something that one should not have to worry about or experience at this day and age of cars. Seems kind of silly that rust would form on the rotor/caliper assembly or the P brake would activate after a wash, rain, or other precipitation event and being parked.

Do folks set their emergency parking brake when the park or is the car applying it normally?
I never used my parking brake on my old C43, but now that I think of it, I recall a similar experience. Had to give my car a little acceleration when reversing for the first time (and I was frequently washing the car or spraying down the rims)

He acknowledged this clunking issue on MB vehicles. I told him about the recommendation mentioned on this thread below.
I didn't have an appointment and they gave me a loaner. Thumbs up for MB Naples Service Dept.
The noise on the video in an earlier post is disconcerting. My clunk was extremely loud as was the clunk in the video.

I've taken to using my leaf blower to removing most water/moisture and driving the car (a quick spin around the block) after that, that seemed to solve the problem.
I do believe that the rear brakes are noisy and all around somewhat sensitive to the pedal, I'm learning.
I'll bring that to the attention of the service bay, which I'm certain as stated here that they are aware of the issue and have/offer no solutions.
I find my local MB dealer is lacking, it seems the rotation for service bay advisor changes every hour, glad that the 1 or 2 of the experienced mechanics have been on board 12-20+ years.
Not very encouraging.
