When I had my whole car wrapped in Paint Protective Film (PPF) I also had them cover the Piano Black area and the AMG door sill trim. I am a solo driver and very cautious with my cars so this will give me added protection.
I also had the body colored roof section covered in black PPF so it looks more uniform with the sunroof and rear glass.
Surprised no young enterprising hustler here hasn't yet done some measuring, then cut some vinyl to apply over any of the easily scratched interior surfaces.
I did that on my last Range Rover. Wasn't a perfect cut, but I also didn't spend hours on it. Worked well, too.
My PPF installer made a template of the cover and door sill trim using low-tack blue painters tape. Then overlayed the template over the PPF, cut the clear PPF and applied to the cover and sill trim. It looks great and cannot see the film edges at all.
If I look at my pricing on my build sheet, I can see that there’s a discrepancy between the website and the build sheet, I assume the build sheet is got the correct pricing, although who knows.
They are only on the less expensive items and they’re minimal. The biggest difference is that the build sheet shows there’s no charge for the side rear air bags.
Noticed the Pinnacle Trim went up $450. (Now $2,500).
Funny, I just ordered mine yesterday prior to this release. My overall cost went up $100 with my Heated Steering wheel and Massage seats deduct).

On the MBUSA 2026 configurator they show the base steering wheel to be different than the base wheel on 2024 and 2025? They do show the same wheel as 2024-2025 if you go with the performance steering wheel with either nappa or carbon.
This could be an error in the configurator I don't know just what I saw today.

There was a spy shot from last month about the new C-Class wagon ditching the twin spoked steering wheel - maybe this carried over to the CLE ?
Also, did anyone notice Mercedes may have down-graded the brakes in the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package?
I could have sworn in that package the calipers were upgraded to 6 pistion and the rotors were larger....now the package only state "Red-painted brake calipers...."
The "Standard" brakes are:"AMG High-performance Braking System"
Using principles proven in racing, the braking components are engineered for enduring stopping power in high-performance driving. Perforated and ventilated 14.6-inch front discs are grasped by powerful 4-piston fixed calipers finished with silver paint and black AMG logos. The rear discs are also perforated and ventilated, and measure 14.2 inches."
She doesn't really care about the color of the brake calipers per se....but for the extra $2,000 spent on the AMG Dynamic Plus pkg., my wife wanted the 6 piston front calipers and larger rotors all around....

That is messed up. I wonder if it is confrimed that this goes away, or maybe the information on their new build is incomplete?
I hope that's the case.
My wife wouldn't have opted for the $2,000 AMG Dynamic Plus pkg. if it didn't include the bigger/better brakes. Maybe MB is saving those brakes for the CLE 63 when that comes out....we'll find out soon when she takes delivery of her CLE 53 coupe early September.
I bailed on an ordered 2026 X6 M60i back in May of this year because right after I ordered, BMW dropped the Dynamic Handling pkg.

It's not listed in the DOG for 2025 either but we know it is included. I would bet it is still including but I am asking my SM for sure.

We went to see my wife's new 2026 CLE 53 coupe last night, sticker showed "AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package", and the red calipers looked 4 piston to me. I'll take a picture of the front calipers when we offically take delivery next week....
