Other than my recently purchased CPO 24 CLE300 being in service(8 days now) since days after purchasing it for electrical issues causing stalling/breakdown is there any reason warning tones selection is Settings-Assistance-Parking-Warning Tones would have Volume Only but NOT Tone/Pitch.
The attached picture is from my CLE Loaner it shows Volume & Tone Pitch. My CLE only has Volume. I guess yet another fault I have to deal with other than a car that is currently undriveable I guess this is minor but just curious. From loaner CLE 2 settings. My CLE only volume no tone/pitch.

Did you compare the mbux versions?
Do the two cars have similar options, especially assistant ones?

My CLE450 had a number of updates applied last week. The SW version was updated to E333.8.58. This actually changed the behavior of the warning tones, where the tone pitch was removed, and the volume remained. My problem now: the volume slider can be moved, but it does not actually make any difference in volume while parking...
There are a number of noticeable changes they introduced. For example, the automatic lane change assist was activated (it had already been installed OTA in the previous version, but could not be activated in my CLE), and strangely, the Apple music app disappeared (annoying to say the least).
Note: I am in Europe, so not sure this all holds true for the US, but my guess is that the versions will have the same content unless there is some local law preventing it...

Extremely interesting yet annoying and confusing for MB owners like us. I emphatically agree with you the volume slider makes little difference but the “tone-pitch” does yet they removed it with your update. I will have to check my software version. As I stated my past loaner also a 24 CLE had both Volume and Tone/Pitch. My 24 only has volume. I am actually taking it back for service to
look at this issue.
MB needs to get their act together. If you are going to manufacture such technology rich cars you have to properly support them. I am not convinced this is a country issue I believe it’s a glitch in the software. I will keep you updated as I bring it in next Tuesday.

BTW in retrospect I should have gotten the 450 instead of the 300. Somewhat underpowered.
It’s a beautiful car though.

My SW Version is precisely the same as yours E333.8.58. Not sure MB Service can even resolve this if it’s the latest SW Version. Until they are sued because low or no warning tones have caused damage or worse an accident.

Looks great. Nice color!
I was actually considering a new e-class (after years of driving beamers). So I visited (yet another...) Mercedes dealer, who just happened to have the new CLE450 cabrio out front - virtually all dealers received a CLE450 with the same config around that time. I took it for a spin, got a great deal, and the rest is history. I am glad it turned out to be the 450: I live in quite a mountainous area, and at around 2 tons, the CLE is not exactly a light car to push up those mountains.

The extra HP is certainly worth it. Enjoy it. Hopefully the annoying SW/HW “Gremlins” will be resolved. I’m considering canceling my service appointment next week for the Warning Tones missing. Not sure service could correct it. Thoughts??

Coming from a 43, it would be hard to not miss the power OP, I am not sure if you miss the sound and the rapid transmission gear engagement as well but it is a different experience for sure. For those who never had a 43, will find the 300 adequate especially paired with the electric assist from the 48V mild hybrid although as mentioned, it is a heavy car, but still the same engine is used in a GLC for example. The passing power is the struggle at above a certain speed, it struggles.

If that is the only reason you have scheduled a service appointment for, you may want to call them instead. They should be able to ascertain "bug or feature" quite easily. I will write my dealer about it along with e.g. the missing Apple Music app.

I actually received a call from The Shop Foreman yesterday. He checked 5 other CLE models from The 300 to the AMG and they all were missing the Tone/Pitch Setting. He opened up a case with MB Tech on the issue. It can only be corrected if MB issues a SW update.
