Dash Cam - Explain it to me like I am a 6 year old
Like the title suggests, I am looking for some "keep it simple $h1thead" level explanation of how to actually get some use out of it.
How to ensure it is active and how to view the video from it, should I need it.
I have read the manual, and am still a bit fuzzy. I have not searched it here and not actually gone out to the car and fiddled with it yet, so I just decided to drop a question in here and see if anyone has done anything with it yet.

It does not record sound, it should say recording on the top right of the infotainment screen (although it might not always show), you need to plug in a media device to store the clips, you need to enable loop record if you want it to record automatically without manually enabling.

By no means an expert, but I did the following:
1. I bought this Samsung flash drive and plugged into the UBC-drive in the arm rest. It’s annoying this isn’t built in automatically b/c this drive awkwardly sticks out. That said, this is a very small drive so it’s fine.
Samsung Type-C 512GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive, 400MB/s, External Memory and Storage for Computers, Mobile Devices, MUF-512DA4/AM, Gray, 2024 https://a.co/d/gb3ruBV
2. I set up the Dashcam to continuously record, so it constantly creates 1.59 minute clips. I am not sure whether it erases clips automatically or not (would have to check)
3. You can access the Dashcam function through the “Apps” App in the main home screen
I generally like this car, but man do I miss buttons and the last steering wheel. I also liked the old navigation more - it was more in my line-of-sight. Also miss the written driving instructions / arrows in the main dash from 2020 C 43.
Very good, thank you everyone...I shall start this process by getting the flash drive and setting the car up as it should be. This helps my laziness. : )

For those, like me, that have many older non-USB flash drives you may want consider this adaptor. I like it as it mounts the drive vertically making a cleaner installation where the cars USB-C ports are located.

I also use that adapter and it works great to keep the USB drive from sticking out in the storage area.
