Software Version E333.8-58
I updated to Software Version E333.8-58 at the dealer. There are some noticeable changes. A car wash mode was added, and it asked to link the key fob to the user profile. A screen cleaning mode was added that, when active, temporarily turns the screen off and makes it non-responsive to touch so it can be cleaned. There is now a button in the climate control section to turn on the heated steering wheel.
Like others have mentioned, Apple Music is gone, as it the ability to set the tone of the parking sensor warnings, only the volume is changeable. The problem is the tone has changed to less of a warning to more of a muted sound and the volume at the maximum setting is so low it can be missed, especially with the audio on.

Before updating to Software Version E333.8-58 I couldn’t find a way to lock only the trunk for security when handing the car to a valet service. My previous cars had a switch in the glovebox that locked the trunk, and then you locked the glovebox. The CLE53 doesn’t have the glovebox switch. After the software update I noticed a trunk lock option in settings (also accessed through the Quick Vehicle Access button) that locks only the trunk. A PIN code is required to unlock.
It’s possible that this feature has been there previously and I missed it. In any case, it works well and is easy to use.

Software version E333.8-58 also updated the radio mute function. Now, when the system is muted, it will stay muted after shutting the car off and then restarting. Perviously, if you muted the system and shut the car off, it would come back at the same volume when the car was restarted.

Thanks for the info. I've been waiting for that mute fix. I just did a system info and my version is E270.1-5683 and I have no OTA updates showing? Is this a dealer only update or has anyone seen this via OTA?

I just had my first service done, at the dealership, my car is still on version E270 and the assistant manager of the service department says that they don't do software updates unless there's a recall or a problem.
So, my car is still on E270 and I still have Apple Music, but I don't get the new updates that are on version E333. Am I mad, no, am I wondering if he knows what he's talking about, yes, because clearly many people on this board have had their cars updated to E333, at the dealer. So what is actually going on?

A month ago I brought my car in for Service A. Told my service advisor that 333 is available, can he load it? He says it doesn't show up on a list for my VIN and they show no recalls for my car, so no. Two weeks later I get a persistent Check Engine Light, so back to the dealer. What did they do? You guessed correctly, they loaded 333 onto my car. Oh, and the CEL is gone now (some exhaust flap had to be replaced).

But as far as the software update, he said the only thing he was aware of is something that updates the Dolby Atmos to the newest version, which I don't think I got, because from what it seems, that is what OTA 3.3 does.
I have to go back to the dealer to pick up my emblem in a week or two so I will ask again, but for now I'm fine with E270.1-5683 and OTA 3.2.2 because I still have Apple Music/Online Music
