Exhaust valve coding - does it fully open the valves or how does that work? Below like 4k rpm I believe the valves stay 50%ish closed even in S+

 

This is to enable exhaust flap control on cars which dont have it. Some CLE53s in the UK for example came without exhaust flap control

If you already have exhaust flap control from factory its no different.

We do offer exhaust flap disable, which means we can disable flaps all together so they are open 100% of the time all the time

We have. You won't get a CEL as the car now doesnt even look for a flap as it doesnt think they are installed

I have been emailing with you and so I, and the other people here know what is, and what isn't available, maybe you can post here on this thread what IS available NOW for the CLE and CLE53.
There's a number of things on the page for MBUX2 but there's a few that I know, and you even said, that aren't available for the CLE, like Active Cruise Control.

In my experience, I have had BMWs and Audi's in the past for which I've used BimmerCode and OBDEleven respectively to "code" different tweaks into the car. People do this all the time with a smartphone (not professionals guiding you through a remote session r.e. these guys) and I have never heard of something like this affecting/voiding warranty. I have always just reverted the changes back to stock before getting rid of the cars.

Let's say I do the exhaust valve delete coding. Say in the worst but very unlikely case that something goes wrong with the car, maybe the program failed and the exhaust valves are forced shut and it causes heat build up in the engine (If you're not smart enough to look into the muffler outlets to make sure they're open, if you don't have ears to recognize the sound opened vs closed, if you're too dull to notice engine temps rising faster) the dealership has to prove it was that exact mod that caused the issue. Although this is an almost impossible situation, if it did happen, I would just code the car back to stock prior to taking it in. Now we're down the rabbit hole of "does the dealers have logs of this history" blah blah blah.

Point being, I do not believe coding the car with these small tweaks is anything to worry about. People from Audi/BMW do it every day in an unsupervised manner, and everything can be reverted back to stock. Even if you bring in the car for regular service, and someone says "HEY WE NOTICED YOU CODED YOUR EXHAUST VALVES OPEN" (99% chance that doesn't happen) they can not void your entire warranty over that, they might void your exhaust warranty, but I have an aftermarket catback system installed so if that ship is gonna sink, it already did

I want to push back on the fear mongering warranty discussion. We have a beautiful, fun, & fast car. Part of car ownership is customizing your car to your liking. We read too much into the "well I read one time on that one forum that guy had to pay $30K and lost his warranty"- as long as you steer clear of the downpipe/power-train or software remapping tunes (like actual tunes that rewrite the ECU/TCU's software, not a chip tune) you will be fine. Even then, I know plenty of people that have those things in warranty and have had stuff go wrong unrelated to those things and the dealer fixes the other thing and doesn't even mention the mod.

How does one activate Race Mode and switch back and forth between modes? Can switching modes be done on the fly while in motion?

 

Its the same as how you would go to sport or sport+, race is one further than sport+

I have the pinnacle trim on the 2024 CLE53. I still don't see any road projections even though I remember the dealer saying something like "coming soon in the USA." Anyone know the status?
