Rear Camera Question
What is the logic of how the rear camera becomes activated while driving, resulting in the camera popping out?
I have seen a fair number of CLEs around town and the rear camera sticks out while they are driving at low speeds or stopped in traffic. Does the camera just pop out when in Drive but sitting at a stop sign or stop light?

but helpful link. I’ve seen multiple CLEs on the road here on NYC do this and they def were moving forward at low speeds. I know mine does it. And I’ve seen videos on YouTube. Def seems intentional, but I don’t get the logic

Its very annoying and shouldn't be necessary .I don't see any other manufactures needing to do this . It's embarrassing to have other drivers point it out while driving and have to explain it's a Mercedes !

To each their own, I prefer the moving design to keep the lens clean in slushy winter when reversing if I can't have a camera washer. That said, this calibration issue was never an issue prior model years, they introduced it on 2024 or some model year and it calibrates everytime for some reason.
