lambo doors

A buddy of mine works at a shop here in town that does lambo doors on cars and i have seen a couple they have done and it looks really damn good. Now do you guys think i should get the lambo doors which are three grand or get some rims first because those are the two things i am deciding between. I have a 1999 black clk430

I've never seen Lambo doors on a CLK so its hard to say how they would look. But if you think they'd look good then do that. Its much more original, everybody has rims but not many people have scissor doors.

agree...........I also think the lambo style doors look corny, they just don't seem to belong on a classy car like the clk.

However, if you are going for the show look, and plan on entering some shows then it might be cool and slightly orginial (seems like it's been a more or less trend lately to put lambo style doors on cars).

actually.. i was referring to the m3 vents as corny. the lambo doors are O.G. i'd put that on my car. still classy with a little more sport.

Hmm...how much does it cost? and could it withstand the weight on the door on a long term basis?

Tesla Model S
The Kleemann ones are about $30k. While it's pretty well engineered so I'm sure it could withstand the door weight, the doors take about 30 seconds to open and close so they're kind of lame if you're actually going to drive the car.

Well they're probably 30k because they're full power open and close.

99 CLK RENNtech Coupe
I just replaced my wrecked CLK and am installing Lambo doors this week. The kit I carry weld in. The doors are held up by two hydraulic pistons (like the ones for the hood but larger) and lift a 300lb door. They cost 1000.00 and a shop USUALLY charges between 1-3k depending on how hungry they are. I'll post pics of the install in the next few days.

99 CLK RENNtech Coupe
smalldog, I found a sweet deal on a 99 CLK430 RNNtech. Silver with black. I'll post some pics when the weather breaks...It seems to always rain when I get a car.

I'll post pics of the install, It really shouldn't be that bad to do....
