Ugh. MAF went out...I think.
Well, my check engine light came on. Pulled the codes and P0170 came up (Fuel Trim Malfunction). Research is pointing towards a MAF malfunction. I have 65K miles and K&N Filters.
I took the MAF out and cleaned the wires with a q-tip and carb cleaner and isop...Alcohol. I then put it back in, reset the light (at autozone) and it was fine for 20 miles. Then it came back on.
Anyone know where to get one for cheap?

had mine go out! spent 600 for the total job from the dealer.
they also replaced both my filters.
diag-90
filter and maf-360 plus tax
the rest was labor
they said it was not just replacing the part they had to also reset all the values with the star diag comp. might of been bs but peice of mind is worth a little more money. i did drive it for a while with the check engine light on...thought it was just an o2 sensor. sa told me the values were way off.
while sitting at a light my engine would suddenly shake and stumble real hard. it would happen every once and a while when the part was bad. after it was replaced it never did it again.
damn thing...why didn't it go out while it was under warranty!

You got ripped off. The part is no more than $150 and can be installed by yourself in under 5 minutes with no tools. As for resetting the values and the light, this can be done by disconnecting your battery for about 15 minutes.

Ok, so I ordered my MAF from www.oem-mercedes-benz-parts.com for $220 including shipping.
However, as I was driving today, the CEL went off, as in turned off and is not on anymore! WTF? Do the CEL's cycle or did cleaning it work?
