Antifreeze Question!!

How often do you need to change the antifreeze on the clk. I got an 01 w/32000 miles and the dealer was telling me that I need to have it done soon.
Anyboby? Thanks

Too lazy to check the service A and B maintenance list. Is this done on either one, doubt A, but maybe B?

Do it yourself....it's easier than changing your oil. There's a drain plug on the lower right hand side of the radiator. Put something below it to catch the old fluid. THen unscrew it (it's red by the way) It won't come all the way out, but you'll know when you've unscrewed enough. Let it all drain out, then flush with DISTILLED water. Then refill with MB antifreeze and DISTILLED water. presto!

During the flushing process, I would flush a couple of times, then screw the plug back in and fill with DISTILLED water. Drive the car around the block a couple of times then drain the water and then complete the last step of MB fluid and DISTILLED water

well i have a CLK 200 ( 1998 cmc engine ) and i`ve used 6 Litres ( Mobil One anti-freeze ) and almost 3 Litres of Distilled water. depends on your engine now, i don`t think it`s the same but the ratio should be the same 70%/30%.

I don't suppose your car is still covered under the factory warranty and 4 year maintenance program? If so, have them do it and flush the brake fluid as well.
