7 year/70K miles warranty on instrument cluster in California

I was going through the manual and the booklets that came with my car when I bought it brand new and came across this information in the warranty booklet.

The way I read it was that there is a 7 years 70K miles warranty on the instrument cluster as well as emission part for cars sold in California and MA as well as a few other states.

Is that correct or did I misunderstand something?

What page? My car was bought from California, and now I live in Illinois. I have a 99. Is my exhaust covered? I have around 60K miles.

that sucks. isn't it cool that the SLR has it's own option when you call MB?

"... press 4 for remote unlocking... press 5 for the Mercedes SLR..."

The booklet I am refering to is the "Service and Warranty Information 2000-Passenger Cars" page 44 as well as other pages.

It clearly states that Instrument Cluster for basically all models of Year 2000 in California, Massachusetts and Vermont is covered for 7 years / 70K miles.

I have a copule of problems with mine, 1, the lights behind the panel is out and 2, my fuel reading does not work.

The same is true for Emission Control.

I have used cluster for sale - very clean from a 2000 CLK430. had about 36K on it when removed. outside temp would miss part of the number when it got cold - never when warm. I'll sell for $50 + shipping OBO. email me if interested.

I work by Rusnak Arcadia too, actually in Monrovia. I prefer Rusnak Pasadena for service. We just got a new copier at work that'll scan and email to file to you. I'll try to post the page (for me it's page 32) tomorrow. My "Service and Warranty Information 2002-Passenger Cars" doesn't even have 44 pages. Maybe they decided not to cover some things between 2000 and 2002.
