My CLK is awesome...

That's it. Everybody always post problems with their CLK's in this forum, so I thought I'd do the opposite.

I love my car!!!

So far I haven't had any problems with mine. I have 60K on my 99' and all is good. I think the tranny sometimes shifts funny when I'm hitting the gas after slowing down.

I love mine also! Mine has been virtually trouble free...nothing major, all minor stuff and it still runs like a mother with 100,100 miles. I just got it back from a new paint job and they did an incredible job! My girlfriend has been driving it today and her birthday is Saturday...does this mean I am obligated to give it to her! She loves it too!

I too love my 430!

just wish mine had a nicer paintjob on it. I love the car aside from that, as far as looks go i think its more stylish than any current 3-series or other small comparable coupe. Cant wait to see how it looks lowered, only three more weeks!

What's wrong with your paint job?

And you'll fall in love with your car all over again when it get's lowered!

I love my car too. Its funny we always read about problems, never really complementing the cars haha.. Yes lowering the car will make you love it all over again, I was getting ready to sell mine, then I dropped it, put a set of 19's on it and it looks friggin great and pulls stares everywhere.

My advice to you so u only do the suspension once is to get the right pads. My car came with #5 pads in the front and with the HR springs it dropped like 1 inch but there was still 2 finger fender to tire gap. I just slammed it with the #1 pad and it looks amazing now. I didnt evne get an alignment and there are no pulls.

As far as the rear goes, there is no adjustment unless u get camber arms, so I left #4 pads in the rear and i barely ahve 1 finger gap. The HR really drops the rear more than the front. And I left my koni's on the softest setting and it rides so smooth still.

Well, it came with alot of swirls and i had to buff them out, fairly successfully i might add, except on the hood. There are still some fine scratches on the hood and a lot of rock chips on the front. Im going to have the hood repainted sometime, here are some pics from the detail forum, you might be able to see what i mean
if you look closely at the hood.

As for lowering, i cant wait to see what it looks like lowered. I went with konis and H&Rs and havent decided anything about pads yet.

mine so far has been really good... has had very minor things but other then that.... awesome. love it.... one question for you guys..... what does it mean when the EC light turns on. I have the EC light turned on. All I did was turn on the ac and that light turned on too. How do I turn that light off... I pushed the button and it stays on.

The EC light is for economy mode. When it's on, it's supposed to cool the car without using the AC (or not as much), to save gas. There was another thread, not sure which forum, as to how to fix it. Do a search, unless someone else knows where it's posted.

HaHa, I get a lot of questions from people riding in my car about the EC button, of course that's after they're finished playing with the cup holder. I just tell them, most cars you have to turn on the AC. In a Mercedes Benz it's assumed you want it on, you have to turn it off. My co-worker has an E-class, he didn't even know what it was for, AC always on.

Edit: BTW, I love my car too. No major problems, but warranty is almost up so we'll see.
