Blue suede headliner?

I was thinking about redoing my interior, and finally getting around to eliminating interior noise that seems to be coming from a loose headliner and the rear deck. I will be getting most of the interior dynamatted, but I want to do a suede headliner as well.

Do you think I should stick with a silver suede headliner, a black suede headliner, or this blue. I also plan on getting the interior trim pieces covered in alcantara of matching color. I think the blue would be hot, but let's hear some opinions.

Hmm..I think I'd stick with the original color just cause some of the upper panels are that silver color. Black would be nice but then it'll throw off the panels that are silver unless you want to change/paint it all to black now that would look good. Not to many people will be looking at your headliner unless your at a show or something..and that blue is a bit to much for me. But that's my opinion..we'll see what others think about it.

There is a dealer fix for the hat tray and headliner rattle (known problem). If you are still under warranty, the shop will fix for free.

im going to be doing my headliner in suede as well pretty soon after i saw the job that was done on my friends e500, it looks and feels sick. he was originally going to go with black but the shop talked him out of it because all the trim plastic pieces (ex. dome light piece, hang bars, pull for sunroof, etc) are all an ash grey color and would prob clash with the black or any other dark color. he went with a grey that was darker than the ash but not dark enough where all the plastic piece stick out. he got his done at 212 motoring in brooklyn and thats where i plan on getting mine done. i was quoted $1300 including visors and front pillars but excluding the center pillars. heres some pics of the e500:

heres 212's site:

Looks great, i had the same idea, but i think i would make sure it was all brushed one direction, looks kinda wierd being light in some areas and dark in others.

I was at 212 motoring to get my tints done. Real nice place. 1300 sounds steep though, I got estimates for $800.

Also, my car is out of warranty. Does anyone know the fix for the hat shelf rattle so I can do it myself?

they are the only ones i got a quote from so i dont really have anything to base it on. are the $800 quotes youre getting from in ny? could you post more info, id like to get better pricing if possible. does $800 include visors and pillars or just the headliner? i believe its the pillars and visors that are the toughest to do and most time consuming.

The quote was from a shop upstate where I attend school, not in NYC. With the cars that 212 sees, I wouldnt be surprised if they expected they could get away with charging a little more than average.

got mine in black, gray will standout more, but i like darkness. So i like black better and never thought about doing it in blue or gray. I dont think blue will look good at all with a black interior.
