Filters are the same. The whole Filter Housing will fit as well, with minor a minor altercation to the cover to fit over the oil filter.

Just pull UP..it should snap out.

It can't hurt. Some people blame the filters for an early MAF sensor demise, but I don't think it does. Just don't oil them too much. It may be good for 1-2 HP...not sure though if anybody has dynoed them.

Sweet rides! Are you buying the K&N filters or the whole AMG intake? If the whole intake, it'll be pricey, but I have all the part numbers here somewhere if you need 'em.

If you're patient...

When I get my supercharger this summer, I'll have my mint condition AMG intake for sale. It's already modified to clear the 430 oil filter and has been meticulously maintained (as I show my car). What's more, I will offer it for a decent price :0)

haters crazy
I also believe the filters are different (430 vs. 55). I have a set of stock 55 filters that I drove on for like 100 miles before taking them out, anyone want them?
Josh what s/c are you going with? Always one step ahead of the game bro.

I have a 430 and a 55 and the filters are not the same. They are different sizes.

Blackbenz, how much you want for the filters? I'm interested.

The filters aren't different sizes. My K&N's from my 430 airbox fit directly into my CLK55 airbox and the filters from the 55 airbox fit in the 430 one.

I apologize, I am thinking the 430 OEM filters do not fit the 55 airbox.

My bad...sorry!

I'll buy your AMG intake

Josh,
I'll take that AMG 55 intake off your hands when you get your blower. I'm local so I can come and pick it up off you. If I remember right, I bought your old stock 430 filters off you. Please lemme know when you want to sell it. You can contact me at blake.bearden@verizon.net
Are you getting the newest generation HPS setup?

I agree with Josh, the filters were interchangable from the 55 to the 430...the same size.

Here are the part numbers:

1. Air Cleaner p# 113-090-01-01 $254.10
2. Hose p# 113-090-03-82 $169.85
3. Hose p# 113-090-02-82 $169.85
4. Cover Plate 113-010-05-67 $ 116.10
5. 4 Brackets 112-094-00-41 4@ $3.96

Those are just some average prices. The hoses are pretty much the same thing as the 430's...just slighty off, so if you want to save some money, you can use your 430 hoses...but will have to cut them slightly and epoxy or duct tape them to hold them in.

Sounds good, I'll be in contact with you when the time comes. As for the supercharger, I'm very skeptical of HPS. If you've been reading on other forums, you'll know that their 2nd generation supercharger had a ton of problems. Furthermore, Adam (the owner) would never show up anywhere or bring the car to any dyno days when called out. And the dyno he did post looks VERY photoshopped - come on, a consistent torque/hp curve with an air/fuel reading so lean that it's not even registering until a 1/4 of the way through the run? And no visible effect on the torque/hp curves? That dyno is more doctored than Michael Jackson.

I'll be going with a House of Power Stage 2 kit. I've seen the kit, I've seen the numbers (witnessed it on the dyno myself) and I've taken a ride in the car.

They're local (Huntington Beach). You should check them out for yourself.

Never heard of House of Power

Sounds good Josh. Thanks bro. Never heard of House of Power. Do they have a website? Very curious to see what type of supercharger they are running. Is it a positive displacement, screw-type, or centrifugal supercharger? I don't know much about HPS but in most of forums, Adam hasn't convinced me to get his kit.

Thanks Man. Looks like they run Vortech s/c setups. Any idea on the price? The website didn't list it and am curious how they rack and stack against Kleemann, Renntech, HPS, in terms of price and HP output. My friend just dyno'ed his AA s/c Z3 and put down 305 at the crank so I gotta up him on that.

Stage 1 HOP kit on a 430 is around 350 to the wheels. You'll kick your friend's Z3's ***.
