Picture of new CLK Coupe
Hi Guys,
Found this picture on the web of an impression of the new CLK due in March at the motor show. Might have been posted before.
What do you think?

I think it looks too much like a C-Class (I suppose it will given it's the same chassis). I saw a photo of the rear a while back and it actually looked very nice.

It does look like it's more related to the C-Class than the current model does. The current model looks a bit like an E-Class coupe (sort of like a W124 E320/E420 coupe replacement it was probably intended for)

2002 C240 Classic - Orion Blue Beast!!
I like it. It looks good. But honestly, it looks like a c230 except with a trunk. I thought the new clk was supposed to be the "baby CL", like the "C" sedan is the "baby S". The curent body style is a classic. It will go down as one of the greatest, no doubt about it...

I am never impressed with MB's computer generated pictures. The real finished product always looks better than the pics. I'll wait until the Geneva motorshow to make my decision.

The new CLK does look like a C coupe, and even if it does look better in person, I just don't like how the front looks at all. The CLK is a classic, Mercedes should improve upon the current CLK rather than recreating the car.

I think it's a good looking car. It looks like a lot of cars in one. The Grill is CL reminiscent. Looks good. I'll reserve my thoughts until I see it in person however. Too many times I have either loved or hated a design only to be happy/disappointed in person.

Same chasis (as the new C), same look- need to get a good back shot to have a better comparison. Just like the Camry and the ES300 (forgive the analogy) --same production line I believe.
Personally I like it because I like the new C (Baby S)- whats the projected AMG package supposed to contain on this car- supercharged V-6???

2001 SLK320 AT Glacier White
Definitely like the current style more...
Although I have a 2001 SLK320, I've been looking at the CLK as a possible "practical" alternative. I have to say, I had better buy before the 2003 CLK comes out. The current style is soooo much more sophisticated looking than what appears to be the "new" CLK style. Problem is finding a nice CLK320 (2001) of equal value to the SLK320 so as not to take a big hit on the deal. Might be very difficult.
