It doesnt look like the front was lowered that much, maybe because the front shocks were so worn out? Let me know what you think

whoa, nice suspension setup. how much was the whole thing with installation? what about getting laser jammers for the front? don't they usually hit you from there?

Ha, put some emphasis on the ISH there, its my sister's 323i, if you look hard in most pics that i post you can see reflections of the ML430 or the E430.
The installation was as follows
H&Rs - $250 (evosport)
Konis - $409 (PureMS)
Labor - $380 (local shop, got a bit ripped off there i think)
Total $1039

I have dual front laser jammers but havent yet installed them, its a pretty intimidating install i think, you have to drill and mount brackets somewhere on the front of the car (discreetly) and balance them within 5 degrees of the road to ensure proper function.

holy crap... $400 for installation... i was *****ing and screaming when my shop wanted $150... but it all depends on location, i guess

Nice pics as usual!! And it looks so much better....the way the CLK should have come factory.

How do you like the ride and ride quality? Have you had it aligned yet? Spring pads the same?

thanks, the ride is a lot better, i took it for a spin before he aligned it and happened upon an old Ferrari 328 GTS (not the most impressive Ferrari, but a Ferrari nonetheless) and ran with him for a while, nothing too exciting but i could keep up maneuvering wise where i would have been rolling all over the place before. I think the car is alot faster through turns and has a better overall stance. Its a good think we didnt push it too much because the mechanic had forgotten to tighten one of my shocks before he sent me out to drive it before the alignment. I had it aligned after the drive and kept the same (#2) pads.

The install really isn't hard at all. It may sound complicated but shouldn't take you that long to do. Hardest part installing my SRX was getting the wires through the firewall and into the car.

car looks good king320. that did end up being a lot for installation, but i guess it does depend on location. i don't know that any other shop would have done it cheaper - especially if they're a specialty shop. it's done now though and it looks good

can you take another after pic at the same level of the car (sideview) as the before? i'd like to see a comparison to see how the wheel gaps actually ended up being different from the sideview.

looks really good :p

cops can impound your car for laser jammers? i didn't know that. is that true for all states, or just some. i knew that radar jammers were illegal more often than laser jammers. i checked online and found this site:

http://www.radarbusters.com/support/...ector-laws.asp

they list states where laser jammers and radar jammers are illegal. do you know something different about the laws mtimmy?

I think you're thinking of active Radar jammers which are illegal. Laser "Shifters" are not.

hellcat...are laser "shifters" the same as laser jammers? i know radar detectors are legal pretty much everywhere except VA and DC. are radar "jammers" legal anywhere? i thought they were. if you see my post above i found a site with some specifics on radar detectors, laser jammers and radar jammers. i don't, however, know if the site is legit. i might try to find a government site with specifics.

Laser shifters are legal everywhere i'll be driving except for VA and DC, so i turn the system off when im in those areas. I did the front shifters today man, that was a pain. there was no place to mount them on the bumper so i ended up fabricating mounts out of a front license plate holder (wierd i know). Ill post pics of the process later.

yeah, please do post pics...i'd like to see how you mounted them by fabricating holders

i'm still curious....are radar "jammers" legal anywhere? i'm all straight on radar detectors and laser jammers now.

Radar jammers are illegal everywhere in the USA because they can interfere with important electronic equipment (ie airport communications) and as you can imagine that would cause serious problems.

To add onto that, there are passive and active jammers which are different. Active radar jammers are illegal everywhere, there was a ban by the FCC on those for the reasons King said. I'm not sure about passive radar jammers but the passive laser jammers are legal in most states. For some reason they are regulated by the FDA and not the FCC.
