Hi, I own a clk 230 Kompressor model 2002. The car displays an error msg "ESP Elc. Stab.Progmm". It vibrates at a standstill due to the rpm revving up and then just disables the accleration. I can only drive it at a max speed of 60 km/h. Not sure why this is happening. Would appreciate any help. The BAS/ESP light also flashes on the dashboard but then goes away after i restart the engine. Please help!

 

Little different then what my car was doing....

but you might want to replace the brake light switch....

Thx drli. I think it might be more than the brake switch. was reading some of the threads and it could be that the relay from the ESP needs to be replaced. Not sure tho. Going to have it checked today at the workshop.

 

Ok so it turns out that there was a problem with the throttle valve which had to be replaced.
