BOSE AMP Question!
Hello guys,
My Car has a COMMAND . and i would like to upgrade my sound system to BOSE. I bought the BOSE AMP , but i do not know how to hook that to my system . There are two sockets for output in the AMP , one is the D2B fiberoptic , and the other one is regular 26 pin type harness. the question is : Do i need to hook both of them to the Command unit , or just use the D2B ring circuit?

well i'm guessing you already went through your car to rewire the speakers to your new amp...so you would know if there was an amp in there or not...were all the speakers just going into your comand unit or something? do the rear speakers say "bose" on em? i think the bose system runs on a different impedence so check and make sure whatever speakers you have will work with it i guess

Here is what I know:
1) not all CLK have Bose - it was an option, not standard.
2) Bose systems say "Bose" on the rear deck speakers (not on the front speakers)
3) You CANNOT retrofit a Bose amp to a non-Bose systems without rewiring to the head unit and replacing all of the speakers, not to mention you need to have a Bose head unit. Bose runs at a different impedance so you have to have all Bose components.
Probably around $2K to retrofit. Go aftermarket.

I have got all the speakers and the amp . My question is : how do you rewire the amp with the COMMAND unit? Any idea what harness to be used?
The reason i went with BOSE system because i got it almsot for free. All i need is how to rewire that. Thanks

not to bash on BOSE or anything, but, just because you got it for "almost" free doesn't make it a good deal if you have to spend lots of money retrofitting it. Plus, there are far far far better amps than what BOSE has to offer... and some can be had for a minimal amount...
