Took a g35x instead of a TL
The acura however, was available to me for 32,855 with nav, while a similarly equipped infiniti with navigation and every option except satellite radio, with a window sticker of 39,500 was the same price as the acura.
In addition, the infiniti definitely has the better powertrain, All wheel drive, and handles better than the CLK in my opinion. However, I will miss the consistency of the Mercedes transmission, there just isnt any other car that has a transmission as consistent and smooth.
She enjoys the comfort ride of the infinity; but when it comes to performance ... there is NO COMPARISON ... in any category ... the 55AMG kicks its *** ...
To her credit ... she test drove the new redesigned BMW 3 series coupe ... she preferred the Infinity ...
Well ... when the lease is up in two years ... maybe the new M3 (BMW) will change her mind ...
As for now ... thank God she picked the G35. I personally don't like the look of the TL.

, and I see you live in NY too. You better hope we are never at the same light togather. Good luck with your car
It's fast, but that's at the crank and RWD, so stock it's probably putting a lot less on the ground (240?).
It's no slouch though... NA 298hp with more than a couple of options for forced induction. The Stillen stage 3 SC is only $5k and will put ~350 at the wheels.
I'm not saying you won't "destroy it" stock, but if you step up to the wrong one at the light, you might have a fight in your hands.

The 3.5L engine on the G35 is in use across a bunch of Nissan/Infiniti cars, and IIRC they range from ~240 for the Altima 3.5 to close to 300 for the G35 coupe... and it's all NA. It's all in the tuning, I would suppose... my 04 Maxima is 265, and I've seen people close in on 300 with minor bolt-ons (intake, exhaust, UDP and y-pipe). Unfortunately it's oriented "the wrong way" since it's FWD, so you can't take a supercharger that would work with a G35/350z and mount it on it...
The sedan's handling is amazing. The intelligent 4wd gets through any turn with no skidding at all even in real bad rain. The car also seems like it was built to last, an attempt by infiniti to increase its residual value. If you go to th dealer, you'll see what I mean. Everything feels very solid.
Was your 320 lowered?
Mine handles like mad (H&R's/bilstein's). My wifes WRX wagon out handled it stock, but not by much.
Do you think the G35x handles better than a stock WRX wagon? or somewhere in between the WRX and the CLK? The WRX now has Eibach's and KYB gr-2's and is well ahead of the 320 in handling. Probably get flamed for this but the WRX wagon is extremely fun to drive except that it is the wife's car and she got an automatic. Of course you don't get any features and an interior that is blah... ... etc...etc.. Not trying to compare the actual cars just the handling!!
I did have H&R on my when I first got it but I feel like it killed ride quality and going up and down driveways was hard. I would say this G35x outhandles a CLK with H&R. I believe this is because they closely imitated BMW suspension, and improved on it with the addition of four wheel drive. The car really drives like it is on rails.
