Eibach springs with bilstein sport shock?

Ok to follow up on a previouse tread, i have the springs installed with the bilsteins. Now its sitting about 1-1 1/2 higher and i was told it would settle.
I also noticed a major difference in the ride quality, although many of you like the suspension stiff, this is realy stiff and i am hopeing as the shocks settle maybe the ride quality will improve?

If any of you have had this experience please drop me a note.

(p.s.) when i say too stiff i mean i can feal every bump on the road and i have sometimes come off my seat. But again its the first day, lets see.....

Uh, I think I said it might end up higher....

but perhaps the right part ## will help. Until you go through the trial and error, frustration, and wasted time of doing this, you can't appreciate the fine points of getting it right. Just comes with the territory. Good luck.

One other thing...if you are looking for--

the lowest ride height, the Eibachs ain't it. The H/R's and the factory Euro stuff is lower. Might as well dial up the really short spring pads. Did you put the front crash bolts in?

You're going to need them...

if you expect to get enough camber out of the front end. Of course, if you don't run it realy low, you may be able to get enough adjustment. And sounds like currently, it isn't that low. BTW, crash bolts is just a generic term.

crash bolts allow for "slight" camber adjustment... it will basically work for adjusting spring pad changes...

anytime you change suspension, it will changer by over an inch, and those crash bolts can't fix that much camber...

Agreed MMGrad,
See my post in 'camber on lowered clk'. I have the crash bolts in the front and still go through tires every 12,000 miles. It wears so much on the inner edges that it almost makes a 90 degree cut out along the inner sides of the tires once the tread is very low.

Tried to draw a picture of the 90 degree angle but it did not come out so well. I edited out the picture.

Seems to me that it just depends..

on a few factors. On my last two new 208's, with H&R's, #1's (low!), and 18" Brabus, they worked out fine. But if the car has few miles, especially on OE shocks/bushings/ etc. , or on really large wheels, it may be tougher to get it right. These cars do seem to be height and camber senstive, as far as getting the feel behind the wheel right.

I have the factory sping pads that came with my 320. Maybe I just need another alignment. It has been about 65,000 miles!!!!! A shop here that supposedly races cars or used to race cars (McGills) looked at it and said that my allignment was fine. I was the suspension, tires, and my aggressive driving style that was causing me to go through them every 12,000. I can't help but accelerate going around curves.

What seems strange to me is that the camber is barely noticeable in the front but they wear on the inside worse than the rear which is very noticable. Could toe in cause wear on the inside of the tire?
