It shouldnt matter if my car is on a slight uphill on my driveway. I could have sworn it was lower but i dont remember. Can my agressive driving cause the springs to shift or ? Here is another picture facing down, if it matters..

I kept my stock pads on the rear and put #1 Eclass pads on the front and it's even all around. While the 430's may have the engine weight to use a #2 or #3 pad our 320's should use a #1.

Your car is uneven because of the Cabro Components in the Rear, you are going to have to put a bigger pad in the rear and a smaller one in the front to even this out. I had to take off my springs pads about 2-3 times in order to play around and get the height even.
ps..your rear drop looks good...i would put a number 1 in the front and leave the back as is.

ill give that a shot, ill put #1's (that should be 9mm) in the front and post the after pix. Now the question is how much will this cost me. Back to the mechanic again more dinero out the pocket.

You shouldnt scrape too much, i never have and i have a similar drop. Your front end is up probably because the back end is down so far. New pads will defininitely help the situation and also, the springs sometimes take a while to settle in ( my car probably dropped another half inch as the H&Rs were broken in)

I just called mercedes and a number 1 pad is 5 mm. I'm wondering if that would be too much of a drop in front. He told me I should see what I have in there fist then determin the drop I need. I was under the assumption that the stock pads wher standard I all clk but I guess I need to see what I have first.
My mechanic said he would charge me 40 dollars per pad. does that seem fair?

i also used eibach to lower my clk.however, after the install, the gap in the front was larger than the gap in the back.so i paid sum additional cash to have the front springs taken off and had 1 coil cut off.that seemed to do it,and the car rides pretty nice.however, after the fact,i heard if u use HandR springs,it comes out pretty even.heres a pic of my clk

i'm assuming that you cut your springs only because the #1 pads weren't low enough for you.... right?

I think you bought the coupe springs for your cabrio like i did lol. Yeah check on that, because the regular coupe springs are really compressed even with the 4 pad in the rear i have barely 1 finger gap. I have pad 1 in front with zero gap.

PHP Code:
I changed my spring pads myself. I got the instructions form Linh over at B.e.n.z.W.o.r.l.d. I still have the link if someone needs it.
Yeah post the link i think it would be great to know how to do it. Hey i might actually save a buck for a change. LOL

runs great with #1 pads its actually lower in the front now that pic was when i first put my suspenstion together. I have a 320 as well, and i like the low rear look, and i have 4 pad in the rear.

Not crazy....it just is not a good idea to do it. When you cut the springs, you compromise the structural integrity of the entire spring and change it's spring rate dramatically. So, basically - you have more weight on less coils - and if they didn't cut it properly, it will rust and that's when you could get total spring failure.
Anyway, the damage is already done, so just keep it washed to avoid any salt or crap on their that can rust it.
You prolly got a 99, so it comes with #4 spring pads in the front. If you drop it down to a #1 pad, it will be almost a 3/4" drop. Search on "spring pads" on benzworld . org and there is some good info on how to do it yourself, see what pads you have etc.

and on top of that, you're gonna have that ricer bumpiness. when you're on the freeway and you hit a small bump.. your car is gonna be springing up and down like a jack in the box
