I bought a HID set from Bosch and is very satisfied with it upto now, but have not yet been out on the roads, when it is really dark.

where is the tap? i just got the projectors but the setting is still for LHD.

macclk, when you got your lights, was it set for RHD already?

anyway, after browsing through so many pics on hidplanet on what a good projector output should look like, i must say that im very satisfied with the light output! really surprised that the beam is focused and the edge of the beam pattern has a rainbow effect that makes it seem like a 'washer mod' (check hidplanet.com) has been done to my projectors. way better than my OEM xenons. im using the latest philips kit with 6000k d2s bulbs and ballasts which are really thin.

This is a super fun car and the desire to transform it to a customized MB is addictive. Check out my "Snow White Ground Cloud".

I hope you can see it on this pic. The lever has to be in the upwards position for RHD.

hey macclk, just installed the lights, and i am quite happy. The thing is did you change your sidelights - they use a different bulb to the stock housing. But I am unable to remove the sidelight bulb due to space issues- any help?

I changed the sidelights (citylights) to LED's, but are not satisfied with the intensity, as they seem to be very weak compared to a normal bulb. But the socket is the same, as the stock lights, so maybe you have yours from a different manufacturer.

yeh i think mine is different - they require the wedge style LEDs - not the same as stock. But im unable to remove the citylights....and as for the intensity issue that is always the case - when i had LEDs in my stock with my HIDs, you could hardly even see the citylights

i went with philips silver vision for the city lights. pretty happy with them although they are not a perfect match for the xenons.

and thanks for the tip! i changed the direction of the lights already. will post some pics over the weekend.

Thanks!! I have no idea yet. I like the Reiger kit, but I'm not sure if it will cover the horrible crack. Any suggestions on something else besides the Reiger kit? I will eventually lower it, gotta get new tires first though, those are gonna be a bit pricey. The hazard of having 19s!

I personally like the Carlsson RS bumpers but getting one that fits properly is a PITA (I have em on both my CLK's lol). I know exactly what you're talkin about with the 19's Luckily my CLK55 is sponsored by Dunlop now

Gee that must be nice. Especially since i'VE noticed that tires wear pretty quick. Course it doesn't help that I need to get a camber kit, but i'm gonna get that with the new tires. When you were buying tires, did you just buy local or get em online?

p.s I saw both your cars, very nice.

oh ya, for the Carlsson RS bumpers, how bad is the fitting? I mean cuz I have a friend that is going to have his friend install everything for me and paint whatever needs to be painted.
