i built a rack for it with a carpeted board to match the trunk, and a plexiglass window that is flush with the board... never got around to installing some led's for illumination... i think i needa do it... it would look crazy size the amp is all chrome...

I think you should do it. My subs are firing forward so I took out the ski boot middle and the neon lights up the interior too.

only thing holding me back will be the reduced trunk space... and when i need to use my fold down seats, i would need to take the amp out... meaning... no audio/entertainment/nav!!! dilemma dilemma...

I took out the middle too thinking more sound would come out of the rear but it honestly made no difference if the armrest is down exposing a hole to the trunk or not. I have an old Punch 4080 (unbelievable rock solid amp for those of you who remember the oldies) with two channels bridged going to each voice coil on my Solobaric. Sounds pretty nice but it's not a crazy nice install or anything. I just basically threw the amp and sub box in the trunk.

Edit: My sub faces the rear. I didn't see the part where you said yours fires forward. I GUARANTEE it will sound much louder if you fire it to the rear of the trunk. Just basic wave principals there.

Thanks my wing thingie in the middle got knocked off so I replaced it with that. It's just a stop gap until I figure out what bumper I want.
