Mass Air Sensor
Can someone tell what a good price would be and a part number for a mass air sensor for a V-8 CLK is? Also where a good place to get other than stealership?

Co 55 AMG: That's a very good price on Ebay. The best (NON-EBAY) price I found was at Importec.com. They have it for about $225.00 I believe with no tax and free shipping in CA. I have used them for other MB parts and they are excellent.

If this is the same part as the W210 E-class V8, or even V6, you can have it for $161 at speedmbparts.com

That sounds about right for $200 - I got it off the bay for that with shipping. Part number on mine is 113-094-00-48 and my car is a 1998 C43. Save those white caps that come with the new part BTW they are handy for use when you service the engine bay to prevent anything contacting the MAF when that air cleaner cover is removed.

Normally I don't have issues with buying parts on Ebay, but I bought a "new" MAF on Ebay which looked new upon arrival (in box, clean, etc.), but it failed less than two months after I installed it. I would suggest buying from a reputable retailer like one of those listed above...

I have a 430 and my check engine light came on yesterday also. I was doing a little research on the 112 and 113 #'s. I already know that i need a 113 BUT are these mercedes part numbers that include the housing??
I was looking at this link ( http://frontieria.com/store/merchant...egory_Code=MBP )and found the MAF insert for $65 (which is what needs to be replaced) and i can obtain the special torx bit.
My question is .... do the actual MAF inserts vary or are they the same? If they are the same I can just purchase the above and have my new MAF replaced pretty cheaply
