Removing fine scratches from black CLK
Thanks,
Steve
Does anyone know of a good way to remove extremely fine scratches from a black CLK's paint?? I've heard it's water-based paint, but I'm not exactly sure what that means as far as tendency to scratch. It seems like if I touch it with anything, I can see scratches.
Thanks,
Steve
Just my 2 cents.
I have a 2001 Black Opal 430 Coupe. I thought I had these fine scratches over the car. However, depending on the angle and/or sunlight it appears to be hologram like lines in the paint.
What you have just described is called spiderwebbing. A phenomenon applicable to black cars in particualr, as well as some other dark colours.
THERE IS NOTHING ANYBODY CAN DO ABOUT THIS, EXCEPT REPAINT THE CAR, AND EVEN THEN THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THE REPAINT WILL NOT BE THE SAME.
