I noticed the email, but it reminds me of a "deal" where someone was selling their NSX for way below value so I enquired to purchase it. They wanted me to put the money to ship the car in an escro company and then once I would have received the car and approved it I would send the rest, problem was that they were using a fake escro company and they would just take the money and I would have received nothing, If I wouldn't have checked up on everything. Alot of these scams were done through Yahoo. I'm not saying that this is one of those, I'm just saying be careful. If anyone contacts this person and they say that they are out of the country, but the car is here in the states, and to send the money to an escro and they will ship the car for your approval, BE CAREFUL!!! That is the same exact story that I got. I asked the person to give info to the location of the car so I could fly up there to see it before I paid any money to an escro. I emailed him 3 times telling him that I would buy it on the spot all I had to do was see it in person first. He would not return any of my messages or give me a phone number, at that point it was very obvious what was going on. Why would you sell a car for $20,000 less than what it's worth? I say buyer beware!!!! Be careful guys

Highly suspicious statement: "This vehicle boasts a retail value in excess of $43,000 with all it features and options."
so the obvious question becomes, if in excess of $43K, why are you selling it for almost half of that?

 

2002 CLK 55 i can get around 30-35k because my dad owns a car lot, and I have access to auctions, but if this was possible, I'd switch my 320 to 55 w/ that price any day...

 

Looks really suspicious. Maybe he meant to say $32,000? Heck, at this price, if the deal is real, I'd buy it and resell it and make a quick $8K or so after taxes and fees.

 

Just ran the Carfax on it. I have tried my best to paste the results below but they are clean. Thing is, it doens't say ****; the VIN could be fake, the car could be fake, it could be a car that got hit by a storm and reconditioned at a body shop... who knows? At this price I would be very hesitant to buy it unless I am there physically to take the car away after the sale.
