Clean? Actually it's dirty, I just wiped it quickly with Meguiar's Quick Detail (Spray). I'm getting 19s, not sure which wheels yet. They'll have to be able to show the Brembo's I'm getting also. I'm leaning towards which ever wheels come free.

I use the Meguiar's Quick Detail also. If you have a fresh coat of wax it will make your car look awesome without even taking it to the carwash.

Hey Peter, are those 2/5's on that red CLK you posted??

Hey folks, using Meguiars Quick Detailer can be an expensive endeavor (the way I use the stuff anyway). Go to an auto parts house that caters to the auto body trade and buy Meguiars Final Inspection #34 by the gallon. It costs me $20.00/gal. where I buy it. BTW Final Inspection #34 and the retail variant "Quick Detailer" is the same stuff. Just buy the gallon and refill your spray bottle. Also, you can get Meguiars Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner Conditioner by the gallon too. The stuff works great on tires - leaves them a nice rich black, not that slippery silicone look, and won't brown like Armor-All. It works real good on the inner fender liners also. Just a few tips from someone that used to maintain a "show car".

Vic, yes those are 19" 2/5s. That's not my car, just one I "borrowed" from our friends at mbnz.org.

I am thinking about getting those myself.

That Meguiar's quick detailer is great stuff!!!

I have a vendetta against Brabus. I don't think any company should ever sell their wheels for $5,000. I've been to their showroom twice, and their arogant attitude just doesn't sell. Yes I understand that their engine conversions are awesome, but no salesman should pretend to know everything. They just aren't "user friendly." My dad went with me. If he wanted he could have bought the 7.4SL. Although he had no intentions, they weren't accomodating enough to him either way.

As for the Carlson 2/5 Brilliant. Those are beautiful, but I'm getting Brembo Brakes and need to show them off. I'm also looking for a lighter wheel.

Karl,
I've got some suprises coming, one including the CL grill (not CLK version). I'm not going to get into it now, but I think you'll all be impressed.

Have you considered HRE? Their rims are nice and light, and i'm sure they're expensive too, but just look into it.

Haven't really seen any HRE wheels that I like enough. I may just go with the CLK DTM wheels. Depends what offers I get.
